Well there's a chosen date for pre-production to start and it's usually not that long before filming starts with any film I've followed in the past.
I guess most can agree that this movie won't make many best superhero lists. Especially when Avengers Endgame is about to get a new cut released in theaters to go for Avatar's worldwide record this weekend.
A new cut is absolutely essential, because the most common complaint that I hear about Endgame is that it just isn’t long enough.
Not a new cut, there's just extra stuff at the end like a post credit scene and some other stuff. The film will be the same though from what's been reported.
To be fair, a new cut doesn't mean longer cut. Doesn't matter in this case anyway as the film is said to remain the same.
That only makes it worse. At least the way it was you could leave once the credits began, knowing there was nothing else to see. It doesn’t matter where they put the new crap, my sarcastic point was that 3 hours was already too fucking long!
I mean it didn't feel that long when I watched it (despite needing to pee and holding on maybe halfway through lol) but I get your point. It's only an excuse to try and get people who've already seen it to go back and watch it again. Personally I'm likely to just wait for the 4k release.
The only reason the film is being released with the bit of extra tacked on to the end credits is to try and make the 30+ million they need to surpass Avatar.
It should barely make Avatar's record. But it would be funny if it didn't make it. I'm sure Disney will pay some people to watch it to get over the line though.
And people that dumb enough to go back and spend their money. No wonder this country is in this current state.
If studios don’t account for inflation then it’s all meaningless, because if they don’t then dozens of movies will make more at the box office than Avatar within our lifetimes. How could they not when tickets reach $20-30?
I mean for the little bit their adding it'd be stupid to go back and see it just for that. In general though, I think this is the type of film I wouldn't mind going back to the cinema to see.
