Went with the following as my own top 5 choices. Inferno, Friday the 13th, City Of The Living Dead, Terror Train & Prom Night.
Went with The Shining, Altered States, Inferno, City of the Living Dead, and Cannibal Holocaust. Altered States and Cannibal Holocaust aren't really favorites per se (for different reasons), but aside from the other three I voted for, these are the two from that list that I have probably watched more than the others; which if I've seen them, I'm fairly ambivalent about.
Of the list, Shining is really the only one that I feel strongly about. Picked Inferno, Changeling, The Fog, and Motel Hell as well. But, I'd consider them good without being great.
The Shining The Changeling Inferno The Fog Terror Train (why the hell is there still no decent release of The Changeling?)
Doesn't HBO own the rights to this movie I do believe? Only blu-ray I have from them is Three Amigos. HBO strike me as very selective and picky when it comes to re-releasing their catalog. So it may very well be a very long time before this gets a release.
It's nowhere near the best film out of that list, but the one I find most enjoyable and will watch the most is Friday the 13th.
Wow, what a year for horror! I went with The Fog, Friday the 13th, The Shining, The Changeling, and Inferno. It was tough leaving off City of the Living Dead and Terror Train though.
Inferno, Shining, Changeling, Friday the 13th and it was a toss up between Terror Train and Humanoids but Humanoids won out.
Wow, what a year! My votes: Friday the 13th The Shining Inferno City of the Living Dead Cannibal Holocaust Just missed: Prom Night ("Sit on it, ape!") The Fog Always love your polls, Helly, thanks for taking the work to do them.
