Only related to their horror movies (not straight out comedies, dramas or action movies), which 5 B list directors do you like the most?

    1. William Castle (The king of the B movie)
    2. Lucio Fulci (the king of the gore movie)
    3. Herschell G. Lewis (the king of the drive-in movie)
    4. Kevin Tenney (Night of the Demons rules!!)
    5. Joe D'Amato (His films pretty much stink, but always have high entertainment value because of the sex and gore i.e. Emmanuelle and the Last Cannibals, Erotic Nights Of The Living Dead)

I really don't think Mario Bava should be considered a B-movie director, much of his work had a classy and artsy sensibillity that elevated it above B-movie status.

B List sounds so derogatory. How about some of my favourite directors from the Drive-In genre...
    • William Castle
    • Roger Corman
    • Ishirô Honda
    • Terence Fisher
    • Gordon Hessler

I see what your trying to say.

No room / didn't think of those guys.

I know, but I couldn't think of a better name for these guys. They aren't John Carpenter or Wes Craven you know.

    I went with:

    Umberto Lenzi
    Jorg Buttgereit
    Ruggero Deodato
    Takashi Miike
    Stuart Gordon

Lucio Fulci is another that I'd add to the list.

I hate the ''B" movie term, but if we're talking low budget horror directors we shouldn't forget such old pros as....

1.Roger Corman (Lots of great stuff, his Poe cycle especially)
2.Terrance Fisher(Hammer Films most reliable director)
3.Freddie Francis (Hammer and Amicus,TALES FROM THE CRYPT,THE SKULL etc.)
4.Jack Arnold (CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON,IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE,INCREDIBLE SHRINKING MAN)
    5.Inshiro Honda(brought us Japans' GODZILLA ,RODAN,MOTHRA etc.)

Theres tons more ,old and new,but lets not forget these vintage low budget masters !

    I voted for:

Others, Frank Henenlotter, Takashi Miike, and Lamberto Bava (I liked Demons 2)

For others I would probably go with Jim Wynorski and Jeff Lieberman
