I've got to go with Cannibal Ferox.

It's more fun, has lots of replay value, and puts the 'balls' back in 'Cannibal' (I don't mean literally ... well ok, maybe that one scene...) It's the Dawn of the Dead of Cannibal Movies.

Cannibal Holocaust is awesome, but makes me feel sad inside.

Second and third would be Ravenous, and a tie between Trap them and Kill them and Massacre in Dinosaur Valley.

im not sure if ravenous is really what you were aiming for with this thread, but that is, by far, my favorite cannibal movie. of the exploitation-type ones, it would be holocaust.

Without a doubt Holocaust. Ferox is a close second, but man the first time I saw Holocaust I knew it was in a league all it's own in the cannibal genre. As much as I love Ferox, to me it's not much different than an HG Lewis pic- bad effects and hilariously bad dialogue(still crack up everytime Mike calls someone a twat or a cunt). Actually make Ferox #3 for me, Jungle Holocaust is #2. Deodato is the king of the cannibal film, Lenzi is a hack.

Cannibal Ferox. Holocaust definitely is the better made film, but I enjoy Ferox more because the cheesy dialogue helps make the film easier to take and that equals more repeat viewings for me. I own the awesome Sazuma tin that sports an excellent 16:9 transfer that blows the Grindhouse release away.

Ferox for me as well. I liked Holocaust but Ferox is by far more entertaining to me. Zombie Holocaust is pretty good too, it's pretty cheesy but it combines two of my favorite sub-genres.

I've only seen Zombie Holocaust from this list and enjoyed it quite a bit. I've held off checking out cannibal flicks due to the real animal violence in them. Do they all have real animal killings, or just Ferox and Cannibal Holocaust?

I see before Ferox and I am not a fan from this because is poor in the making and in top is extreme violence that is some times to look fake and some times realism. Is almost to be funny to be so bad and also disgust because is subject then is bad because of special effects and then also amaze from this. Very inconsistinent. I vote Ravenous because I think is the best in story. Is zombies only to be dead cannibals? To see Ferox is like to see Bill Cosby murdering. You see Bill Cosby and you think is a funny show coming and then is violent murders. Then is murders that look fake and funny then is murders that is realism and sicken like this scene to the hooks for the breast in the woman. To much! Ferox is all over the place for emotions but is in the end to make me feel little sicken and not fan from this movies but to chose one movie I think Ravenous is the best.

I used to enjoy Ferox more, but I haven't seen it in years and Holocaust has really grown on me, it's actually a fairly complex film and that's something I've picked up on from a couple viewings.

So Cannibal Holocaust gets my vote.

I also really like Deodato's first venture, Jungle Holocaust.

Haha, yeah, I miss fatclown less and less each day BrokeNads posts.

There are still a couple films on the list I've yet to see, but yeah, Holocaust is in a league of its own. I'm surprised a debate hasn't started on its merits yet, that seems to be what happens any time the film is brought up! Cannibal Terror still makes me cry inside. Papaya: Love Goddess of the Cannibals is actually surprisingly good.
