Goblin. What a fantastic band, they scored some of Argento's best films. And some other great horror classics. Their scores are thunderous and effective, it really adds something to the movie. Now out all of the movies they scored (or Claudio Simonetti did) which is your favorite score by them?

I really love the Suspiria soundtrack...back when I was in college I paid big bucks to a rare record store to track down a copy of the original Italian LP for me...what a great piece...it was a cool gatefold sleeve, with a pop up Goblin logo inside!

Pretty much the original Italian graphic, all black with the naked dancing woman with the severed head. I would post a pic, but sold this with most of my other LP's a few years ago.

As much as I love everything about Dawn of the Dead, I identify Goblin too strongly with Suspiria to choose anything else.

as much as i love the score for Suspiria and Tenebre...but, Phenomena wins it for me. the best song is the one playing during Jennifer's first time sleepwalking.

God this is a difficult choice... I LOVE Suspiria and its soundtrack, but I think the Deep Red soundtrack is the winner for me.

Truthfully, I love them all though.

Gotta love the funkiness of Tenebre's score. Tenebre wins it for me.

Suspiria because it is so complex w/ use of different instruments. Deep Red's main title is a very close 2nd.

Suspiria was the first Goblin score I heard, and it remains my favorite.

Tenebre is my most listened to Goblin soundtrack. Suspiria is my second favorite.

DEEP RED---came real close to voting for BUIO OMEGA, though.

SUSPIRIA works great as a soundtrack, but I enjoy most of the others more as far as just stand-alone music.

Tenebre. The cold synthetics of their main track is the most chilling to me. That chase scene would be nothing without the track. I do love their tracks for Suspiria and Deep Red, but both have a bit too much cryptic organ for my tastes.

Yeah, the main theme to Buio Omega is fantastic - although a little too short.

Tenebre, that theme rocks. Then Suspiria and Buio Omega.

I gotta give major respect to the Buio Omega soundtrack. The main title track alone is worth the album. Amazing bassline.

If anyone's interested in hearing some of Goblin's non-horror stuff, I HIGHLY recommend their first album 'Cherry Five' (slightly different lineup, no Claudio), and 'Roller'. If any of you are fans of Yes, Rush, and other deliciously trippy progressive rock, give them a listen. It's like finding retro gold.

Tenebrae, certainly... with its "Flashing" and the main theme.
