Alright. Here we are once again with another new company that has been issuing releases of some great titles for all of us horror freeks to go and spend that hard earned cash.
So, which DVD do you consider your favorite?
:bs: *I have purposely left off Document Of The Dead & Dario Argento's World Of Horror to solidify a full 20 choices.
If you want to choose either of these DVDs then you may do so in your post but a vote will not be counted towards them.

i chose Vampyros Lesbos ... one of my favorite movies ever, great music, good transfer PLUS its classic Franco -- all that definitally makes this one a winner

Triumph of the Will, a really fascinating disc overall. Second would be Deadbeat at Dawn... I love that flick!

I never realized I had so much of their stuff, I like almost all of them. I voted for Brain That Wouldn't Die because it is so campy it cracks me up every last time I watch it. I like Evil Dead Trap a lot too.

I only have Brain Damage and Fatal Frames. I went with Brain Damage, but I have a feeling that's gonna change as soon as Street Trash comes out.

GRAPES OF DEATH all the way. Fucking awesome movie, and the interviews on the disc are some of the best I've seen to date. BRAIN DAMAGE is great, but this one beats it out.

I voted for Castle Of Blood. I enjoy older genre films, and this one features Barbara Steele. The plot revolves around a bet and a haunted house. Edgar Allan Poe is a featured character.

  9. I only have 8 out of their 20 listed releases, but even if I had all of them I know without a doubt that my favorite would still be..... Evil Dead Trap!

It has got a good transfer, and it just happens to be one of my all time favorite Japanese Horror films!

I have to admit that I did not know how much stuff Synapse had put out until now. My hats off to a great company for providing us with some fantastic movies. :D

I voted Exorcism...it edges out the other Franco titles because of the special features (esp the commentary), plus the film has such a decadent, dark vibe to it.

I quite liked their INVASION U.S.A. disc, it was an important film and it had some great extras including interviews and way-cool bomb threat LPs.

EXACTLY my feelings mcchrist. The restoration job on TRIUMPH is beyond belief and the movie shows that cinema has advanced little after all these years (the arena shots of GLADIATOR were not better by any means).
Deadbeat rocks! The transfer is cool (I really cannot Jim VanBebber's hysterical rumbling about it's quality) and the film is an underground classic!:fire: :fire: :fire:

I voted Evil Dead Trap since its the only one I have. I'd definitely like to check out the carpet munching vampires flick though.

Evil Dead Trap: it has it all, including a last minute transformation into Basket Case. ;)

Seriously, though, I like the atmosphere and the story. It's one of the few films that still succeeds in creeping me out.

For the record, Grapes of Death came in second for me.

Evil Dead Trap- mainly because it came in a cool clear-blue case.
