What are your favorite and or least favorite horror movies? Top 10 style...

My Top 10 Favorite Horror Movies

Evil Dead
Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn
Army of Darkness
Dawn of the Dead
John Carpenter's THE THING
Child's Play
Child's Play 2
Stanley Kubrick's The Shining
Sleepy Hollow
The Frighteners

Horror movies I hate!

Friday the 13th Part 3
Friday the 13th Part 4
Jason Goes to Hell
Pet Sematary
All Nightmare on Elm Street's (Except the first and last)
Child's Play 3
Bride of Chucky
Night of the Living Dead (I don't hate it, but I don't like it either)

My Top 10 Favorite HORROR Movies (in alphabetical order):

The Brood
Dawn of the Dead
The Exorcist
Hellraiser
Santa Sangre
Shivers
Suspiria
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre
The Thing
Videodrome

(Evil Dead would be my number 11. The Wicker Man and Dead Ringers would certainly make the list, but I don't consider them to really be HORROR movies.)

10 of the Horror Movies I Hate (in no particular order):

The Gate
Leprechaun (all of them)
Friday the 13th (all of them, but especially Jason Takes Manhattan)
Children of the Corn (all of them)
Lucio Fulci's Zombie
Demons (both of them, but especially number 2)
Jaws IV: The Revenge
The Haunting (the Jan de Bont remake)
A Nightmare on Elm Street part 2
A Return to Salem's Lot

And, of course, the very worst: THE FLY II and I STILL KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER. TFII for probably being the worst sequel ever perpetrated on an unsuspecting audience, and ISKWYDLS for making me fucking furious for paying for my ticket at the movie theatre.

To AndrewBBD: I kinda agree with you on Fright Night. I loved it when I was 11-12 years old, so I bought it on DVD a couple of weeks ago in order to see it again. I was VERY disappointed; it hasn't aged well at all. The dance sequence with Chris Sarandon and Amanda Bearse at the disco was particularly painful to watch.

Exorcist
Last House on the Left
Suspiria
The Beyond
Blair Witch Project (I still say the film is just a parable of what happens when you leave a woman in charge of the map. You are asking for it...:))
ANY TEEN SLASHER FILM WHERE THEY DON'T SHOW GRATUITOUS TITS AND ASS :)
All of the Nightmare on Elm St Films. In fact, every time I see a Wes Craven film I previously liked when young, I discover I think it just crap nowdays.
All sequels to The Howling. My god, what was Howling 2 supposed to be about?

Santa Sangre

To flesh-huntr: About a DVD release of Santa Sangre, I was just wondering about this myself. I have an old and worn VHS copy, and would love to have this on DVD. It's my favorite movie, it's just so totally bizarre and wonderfully perverse :D

12. Movies that make Peter smile :) (although 10 isn't quite enough):

Fright Night (of course...Andrew BBD...for shame!)
The Exorcist

Nightmare On Elm Street
Halloween

Psycho
(Give props to the master of the maccabre)

and I gotta sweet spot for the new versions of:

House On Haunted Hill

Movie that make Peter hurl  (or I just don't like 'n' whatnot)

I Know What U Did Last Summer

Alright, in no particular order:

Top 10

-Dawn Of The Dead
-Evil Dead
-The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
-Rosemary's Baby
-The Omen
-The Wolf Man
-Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman (Just get a kick out of it for some reason!)
-Friday The 13th IV: The Final Chapter (F-13's are a guilty pleasure of mine)
-Evil Dead II
-Army Of Darkness

Halloween and Night Of The Living Dead easily could have made my best of list as well, with Ginger Snaps being a "new" favorite also.

Least Favorite:
-Children Of The Living Dead
-Texas Chainsaw Massacre The Next Generation
-Nightmare on Elm Street 5 (?) Freddy's Dead
-Urban Legend II (The first one was no Excorcist either, but the sequel was even worst)
-Valentine (Another recent entry, but I had such low expectaions to begin with and it still dispointed)
-JAWS 3-2
-JAWS The Revenge (I admit, I only saw the end of it where it turns out everyone some how survived)
-Silent Night Deadly Night II (I'm pretty sure that was the name. 80% of the movie was flash backs from the first one)

8 is all my brain will allow.

• Return of the Living Dead
• Psycho
• Cemetery Man (Dellamorte Dellamore)
• Night of the Demons

LOL! By all means, New Moon Rising sucked gargantuan donkey dicks. Howling II was a crushing disappointment. (Sybil Danning's presence dulled the pain a bit.):D The beginning of the end for The Howling series.

Foxx, I share your pain.
