This is hard. The two films I like the most are The Mist and The Ring, but I'm not sure if I think they're the "best" anything. I love them, but don't love them, ya know ... I'll have to think, maybe vote for other.

Oh, ps. when did Valentine come out?? ;)

Grindhouse would be my favorite. A close second is The Devil's Rejects. May rounds out my top three.

Three-way tie between 2007's Grindhouse, The Mist, and Bug.

PS: Where the hell is Bug?

Blair Witch Project - it's a modern classic.

    Worst? Devil's Rejects. :D

Open Water. Because unlike The Blair Witch Project, it's not the fault of the two divers that they're stuck, they're not complete idiots like the trio in BWP, you actually see what happens to them, there's actual dialogue spoken by the characters and not just the "F" word repeated over and over again, there is actual build-up to the scenes of animals attacking, there's more blood in the film than BWP, and the movie is completely honest with the viewer. There's no cheap manipulation. No pandering to stupid, naive people who believe in ghosts and witches and Ouija boards.

But also because I thought the film was really beautiful. I loved the film and cameras they used to shoot the movie. It was good-looking, the people weren't completely annoying (unlike BWP), and it was an incredibly stark movie. The constant cutting back and forth between them in hell and the people on the beach or at the little town parties or on that huge boat that passes them by, and the peaceful shots of nature around them and unassuming animals that would never attack the two... It was a great movie. Unlike BWP.
