Hmmm...not much in way of DVDs that are too rare or scarce but as far as film collections go my most prized possession is my original '74 Bryanston presskit to Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I got it from Dr. Barnes who did the makeup for "grandpa" in the original.................................Larry

I have this boxset, why was it recalled???

as for "prize possesions" I am considering anything I get on Blu-ray to be it, the PQ and AQ are just fantastic. watched Omega Man last night and it's hard to believe how good it looks. That's just where I am right now

I don't really have anything special.

Overall, I'm proudest of the fact that I have a copy of Anchor Bay's out of print Phenomena disc, which I know a lot of people here have as well. It does bring a smile to my face though that some people don't have it and want it but can't get it without spending a small fortune for it on some place like Ebay.

As for the rarest thing... I have a good VHS copy of Dario Argento's World of Horror. Again, don't know how impressive that is. Probably not at all.

Nothing autographed, no posters, no soundtracks I didn't get with a 2/3-disc Anchor Bay, Subversive Cinema, or Synapse pack.

Good question. Maybe the Faces of Death box set? I found it on a whim one day at a local Coconuts (before it became FYE) and haven't heard much at all about this set since, or even if it was officially released.

I believe it was recalled because of the red cross. The actual Red Cross organization didn't want to be associated with that.

    Anysways for me:

    - Evil Dead Necronomicon Edition. I bought that thing the day it came out in 2002 and I wasn't into DVD collecting at the time, so it's kind of special looking back at it now.

    - Sleepaway Camp original art box set.

    - Aftermath with gore cover.

    - All of my View Askew releases. Several of them being autographed. Also, my Clerks II 3 disc edition which is pretty rare.

Thats is cool! I have been collecting videos/DVD since I was 14, and have never even seen one of these in a rental store! I finally got a DVD-R of the movie a few years ago, and the artwork is a scan of the vhs...but that is the closest I ever got.

Some pretty cool stuff. I have a lot of hard to find, OOP or rare DVDs but nothing autographed by any one and nothing that stands above what's been mentioned. I would say my most prized posession are the blind buys I've made and loved over the years, stuff like I Drink Your Blood, Halloween III, etc. Very corny but it's the truth.

I got mine at a mom and pop video store. I got it about 5 years ago. Mine is the big box version. The box is MINT and the video has seen better days. Sense it was a rental it was impossible get the video mint. I paid like $4 for it and never imagined it would become so rare. That video store went under shortly after I bought it. Still it's a fun video to watch on a rainy day. ;)
