As you perhaps have noticed I'm a bit into "Giallo" :D
Although a bit short on cash (I have none) I'm still interested in all things Giallo.
Now I found one from Sergio Martino.

So my question is (again,I'm sorry): is it any good?
I will have money again in the near future so I can go an a shopping spree!!
I've already seven discs I NEED to buy next..

Yep-its one of the greatest giallos ever made and is impossibly difficult to get hold of.If you do buy it let me know what the quality is like-I may finally replace my 5th generation vhs copy!

I used to own an disc from this company, be warned they have their logo on the bottom right hand corner of the screen. It annoyed me big time.

    cheers

Hmmm...so does this mean it's a bad product?
If the rest is fine (uncut, correct aspect ratio, good image) than this is the only way to go for now.
But I guess I'll wait for someone to write a review or something first, before buying.Thanks.

    Update!

Apparently NoShame (you know, the nice people who are releasing Scorpion's Tail and Blade of the Ripper..) are planning a R1 release this fall!
I'm glad I didn't buy the Shoarma disc (check HERE for a review of that one)
I hope NoShame will do a great job with all their titles.

Can't wait for this... The missing link in my Sergio Martino giallo dvd collection!
It's a change of pace compared to his other giallo's... Another variation on the Black Cat story... Not my favorite of Martino's, but still a very exciting and stylish movie!
How I hate these guys who are getting advance review copies!!!

I plan to add this to my collection. My friend has been getting me into more giallo's, specifically Martino flicks. I plan to add this title along with Scorpion's Tail and Mrs. Wardh. NoShame seems to do an awesome job on their discs much like BU, which makes sense since some of them were part of BU, from what I've heard.

I watched this last night. "Bone and Rag Lady" is one of the best job descriptions I've had the pleasure of hearing about.

As for the film itself, I thought it was good. Edwidge Fenech and Anita Strindberg both looked so lovely and it's always great to have Ivan Rassimov present, even if it's for like 5 mins total. I really enjoyed
the ending twist. I am usually somewhat good at having an idea of what is going to happen but this time it caught me off guard.
The murders were fairly entertaining as well.

Sadly, the usually amazing Bruno Nicolai puts out a fairly forgettable score this time around and the movie tends to drag at a couple parts. Overall though it's not much to worry about and I wouldn't have a problem recommending this one.

Dang! I just bought the Shoarma disc used for $10 - had no idea there was a newer edition out! Only $14 at DDD - great film, worth the double dip. Now - what to do with the old version?
