    WWW.BLOODY-DISGUSTING.COM REPORTS THAT
IT WILL PROBABLY HAPPEN SOUNDS COOL CONSIDERING THAT FIGHT CLUB IS MY FAVORITE NON-HORROR MOVIE EVER AND ALSO HOW DAVID FINCHER MADE ALIEN 3 AND SEVEN WHICH ARE ALSO TWO FILMS I LIKED WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE HOW THIS MOVIE TURNS OUT. I LIKE ALOT OF SERIAL KILLER MOVIES AND ZODIAC IS AN INTERESTING KILLER WHO WAS NEVER CAUGHT VERY COOL

  2. I'm getting flashes of Fincher trying to re-capture Seven's glory

Sounds more like Fincher trying to be Fincher after the uncharacteristic PANIC ROOM and guess what... I'm game. :)

Actually, "Zodiac" died in prison, having been convicted for another offense...police didn't have enough to convict him for the string of killings, but the circumstancial evidence was overwhelming...

  6. if there's no conviction you can't say he did it...a suspect died in prison

I didn't know Fincher directed "Alien 3" or "Panic Room". I haven't seen Panic Room, but was fairly interested (Is it any good, worth a rental?). I'll definitely have to check out "Alien 3" again.
I just tried watching "Alien Resurrection" this morning (since I found out it was directed by Jean-Pierre Juenet), but I fell asleep since I had already watched like 5 movies yesterday.

Fincher has never really made a bad film in my book. Sure some weren't great (Panic Room) but all of his films have left me satisfied. I'm looking forward to this.

Very cool news. I am really into true crime/serial killers, and the Zodiac Killer has always been the one I've found most fascinating. Fincher directing a film about him should be simply fantastic. Se7en is one of the best films of all time IMO.

Concerning PANIC ROOM... Had it not been directed by Fincher, I doubt many would really care to defend it. Aside from his usual directorial flourishes (the fluid camerawork recalls his earlier more characteristic films), the film is a standard by-the-numbers thriller with only Fincher's penchant for unusual direction setting it apart from the pack. Worth watching it once, but I can't see owning this and giving it repeated viewings... there's just nothing there.

  12. I have a great book called Zodiac: Unmasked by Robert Graysmith which I highly recommend to everyone. And this newest ZK movie might be interesting.

    1: caps
    2: interpunction
3: the script is based on two worthless books by a fraudulent hack named Graysmith, whose suspect, Allen, has been cleared two times by the police and by the FBI.

Speaking of the films related to the case - Zodiac (the real Zodiac, not Allen) inspired Blatty's "Legion", too.

PANIC ROOM IS GOOD BUT IS HIS WEAKEST FILM IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE ALIEN 3 EXTENDED VERSION I SUGGEST YOU SHOULD BECAUSE IT IS FAR BETTER THAN THE REGULAR THEATRICAL VERSION

I'm down for a Zodiac movie by Fincher, should prove interesting.

    Found this on the net...

I'm personally upset that the poster lists the mediocre Panic Room in Fincher's credits instead of The Game (his best movie, IMO).

I will definitely check this out since "Seven" was his best film, IMO, and this does seem like Fincher wanting to return to that genre. I think that he's directing "Torso" next, which is another true serial killer case that Elliot Ness was a part of (after the famous prohibition stuff.)
