Anybody remember this trashy jailhouse action flick with John Saxon and drugged pseudo zombies thrown in?
Coming to DVD from Image Entertainment in September -

    Video: 1.33:1
    Audio: Mono
    Extras: Theatrical Trailer

Had it's cheesy but solid no budget exploitation moments. Might have to pick this up :D

    :D

Yep, that's the one. No undiscovered classic by any means - Just your average direct-to-video gutter dreck from the golden 80s.
They don't make them like this anymore :(

I don't recall that much grue actually. A little maybe but nothing to write home about. Rented the AIP tape once which was R Rated and didn't have "Zombie" in the title.
I'd figure Image Entertainment most likely added "Zombie" to cash in on the "Dawn" remake/success.

Ah, what the hell. Go ahead and get it. Hopefully you won't have to spend too much on it. It could be entertaining but it could also be crap but I would give it a shot.

So, did anyone else buy this one? Picked it up earlier and watching it later tonight.

I kinda like the $1000 Shock Insurance Certificate inside the case signed by Fred Olen Ray. $1000 to the first person who dies of shock from watching the movie!

Just got done watching it. It's not half bad, for a late 80's action/thriller/horror smorgasbord. Some nudity, a little gore, some covert military intrigue, government cover-ups, electrocution, gangsters, prison rape, etc...

Hellbilly's early quote is right on the money: "this trashy jailhouse action flick with John Saxon and drugged pseudo zombies thrown in?"

Oh yeah, John Saxon directed it. Plus, there's also a Dead Kennedy's song in the end credits!

this movie is pretty awesome, it has some pretty funny gore and some bad acting, the gay brother of anthony franciosa is hilarious, "i'm not leaving without shawn!"

There is only one reason for me to buy this crap:
    Memories

I remember seeing it in my teens, being fascinated by the video cover (which is the same used here thankfully) and all... Still a bad movie though.
