    Hey Everyone,

Does anyone have any of the euro releases of Zombie Holocaust including this one :

    http://shop.dtm.at/product_info.php?products_id=25111

Most of the euro releases claim to have deleted SCENES as opposed to the lone deleted scene that pops up on the Shreik Show release. Can anyone confirm what deleted scenes are on these euro DVDs and do they differ to the SS DVD ?.

Homer : Yeah, but your mom payed for that.
Bart : But doesn't she get her money from you.
Homer : And I get my money from grease, what's the problem.

  2. I have the 1999 German Dragon release along with the domestic Shriek Show edition. I just checked and the Dragon release clocks in at 80 minutes even though the case states 85 minutes. The Shriek Show clocks in at 84 minutes while its case states 90 minutes. Could be my DVD player concerning the stated times and my actual times. And for the difference between the two versions, it has been quite some time since I've watched them but nothing stands out in memory. I have heard of films' speeds being slightly different between various releases. And as far as the deleted scenes in the "Extras" sections, they both contain the same pitfall trap sequence. What's the lone deleted scene that pops up in the Shriek Show release? I'll check to see if it's in the Dragon release and that could be the difference in times.

    Hey DecayingFlesh,

The pitfall trap scene is the only deleted scene on the Shriek Show disc. My old Australian VHS release of Zombie Holocaust has this scene as part of the main feature so to see it cut out and included as a deleted scene was very disappoiting for me.

  4. I agree. I have an old VHS copy of the movie as "Doctor Butcher, M.D." and it has the deleted sequence IN the movie as well. I had rented it many years ago from a major retailer so I can only assume it was a U.S. version.

Supposedly the pitfall scene was deliberately cut from many prints because of continuity issues with the location or something. But I'd be surprised if continuity was actually a concern on this film because the pop-off dummy hand didn't seem to phase them.

That's probably one of the few scenes that was left in the Aussie VHS. :D

I'd be pissed if that scene wasn't in the movie.

That was the best part of the movie... Well, that and all the Alexandra Delli Colli nude scenes.

    Hi,
the new NSM DVD at www.dtm.at is a 1:1 copy of the Dragon DVD. So it includes the same bonus material (only the pitfall scene !!!). The NSM DVD just changed the cover artwork (now it is the original German artwork). It is very cheap, only 4.99 Euro. But American buyers should be careful:
There are 2 versions!!!! The first release of the NSM DVD was in NTSC (like the old Dragon DVD). But the second release (which is sold now) is in PAL although the cover still says NTSC.
I hope this answers your question
