I'm wondering what is your opinion on the "Zombie" sequels. I want to get the "Zombi 3" disc but I've heard some bad things about the movie. I saw the last half of "Zombie 4: Afterdeath" and I didn't really like it. The effects were okay but the acting was exceptionally bad. Anyway, is "Zombi 3" better?

Zombie 3 & 4 are OK, but you can't top the first one. My buddy bought them a while ago. Eh, they're OK.

I haven't seen 3 yet but i got 4 and its was ok. The second half is really cool and its just a fun crappy movie.

Part 3 is better than 4 but that's not saying much, both are pretty crappy, IMHO.

  5. Both movies rock.

I enjoyed ZOMBI 3. It's just silly fun. Nothing wrong with that.

I own both of the discs and I have to say I enjoyed Zombi 3 a lot better than 4. That's not to say I didn't like 4, but I just thought 3 was a much better film. Though as Mortis said, you can't top the first one. :D

  9. I think 3 is a humorous masterpiece, but 4 bores me to tears.

Thanks for the opinions. I think that I'll rent "Zombi 3" before buying it.

ZOMBIE 4 kicks all sorts of ass. 3 is alright, just not as much fun IMO.

Both films are love it or hate it. I love Zombie 3. Cheesy fun. I hated Zombie 4. It didn't have any redeeming values for me. It was so bad, it was bad, not good!!

just watched zombi3 and then 10 minutes of mccains convention speech.

i could really sense some fulci in the precredits sequence in the 'lab', but the rest played out like a bad italian action movie from the 80s, like 'cut and run' or something. oh yeah, i really enjoyed it though, i loved the classic scientists vs. military scenes.

  14. I've always avoided these since I heard that they sucked really bad in comparison to the 1st, but I'm a bit curious now.

So you watched 10 extra minutes of deleted scenes from Zombi 3?

All the sequels are pretty bad. Parts 3 and 4 and cheesy bad, but still not cheesy good, but Part 5 is horrid. They're all worth renting and watching once, but not buying.

I think Zombie 3 is a strong sequel but Zombie 4 I can take or leave.Zombie 3 is just a fun movie from the likes of both of most of our heroes.Right? Don't take it so serious and have fun.I used to have a beat up vhs dub of Zombie 3 with the pre credits intact.I think they were only on the Japanese version of the movie.I wish I still had that VHS.Anyone have a copy of it?

one could infer that. i thought i would just leave it open to the imagination. mccain did have a better make-up job than most of the zombii.

also great is how there is only one song on the soundtrack, and during 'action' sequences they would play it so you knew you were supposed to pay attention instead of staring off into space. there was one point where one of the ciphers was getting attacked (music pumps), then he broke free for maybe 5 seconds (music stops), then he gets attacked again (cue music).

Compared to Zombi (or Zombie or Zombie 2 or whatever it is named) both of the sequels are AWFUL. Just re-watch the original.

I haven't seen the sequels.I can't go out renting them but those zombie boxes by Shriek Show are on my wishlist.
Not really a sequel, more in the slipstream of Zombi 2 I guess, but I liked Zombie Holocaust.Need to buy that one at least.
