Davidlynch.com has a new date for Eraserhead. Now they're saying March 2003. Don't hold your breath or nuthin'; but we'll see.

It would be very cool if it did come out in March.
But I will not hold my breath. :D

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Well, just like that it's out. The Eraserhead DVD and soundtrack went on sale at 9:07 this morning. The LONG wait is over.

Speak for yourself. ERASERHEAD is a spectacular nightmare on film! Nothing Lynch has done (minus DUNE) is even remotely crap.

I ordered the DVDs, too but although I got an order number, I haven't received my order confirmation email yet. Have you received yours? If so, can you give an email address for customer service of DavidLynchStore? I couldn't find any...
Ahhhh, finally. I just ordered my copy. I would have gotten You Don't Know Jack, but didn't have the funds.

U guys are nuts paying Lynch all that money for a disc you could get for $20 cheaper! For the kind of money Lynch is charging, he better deliver that bad boy to my house himself and sit on my couch for a live commentary. In the meantime, I'll enjoy my excellent looking R2 copy that cost me $10!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good news indeed, but is it really worth it? I.e compared to the region 2 disk, what are the specs? Hope some of you guys who have ordered the disk can come back here and share your thoughts when you have seen the it...

I have just ordered it. The shipping cost was comparable to the price of the DVD. The grand total came out to just over $68! That's too expensive, in my opinion, but I've decided to get it anyway since I love the film.

What are the extra's anyways?

HOLY CHRIST!
$68.00 with shipping!
I think that I will just wait until I get a Region Free player, and then I can pick up the Region 2 version of this.
That is if I can ever convince myself to buy a Region Free player.

For $68 bucks you can by a CyberHome player @ Best Buy that you can make region free.

Uh, I paid $40 for the disc, and $10 (still too damn expensive, though, I agree) for shipping. There was a more expensive shipping option, but even that would've just bumped it to $18. That should be $58, not $68, shouldn't it?
(Mine was more, but I also ordered the short films disc.)

I've got the R4 edition and while it isnt widescreen, I'm not so sure I want to pay over $50 for a movie that I already have and that isnt one of my favorite Lynch films. I could see if it were Lost Highway or a great SE of Mulholland Dr., but I just wouldnt pay this much for this movie. At least not now.

I have the full screen version too (UK edition). Interesting film - but NOT paying that amount for it.

I live in Canada so it's more because of the foreign shipping.

I have to say that the disc is definetly worth it. The "stories" feature is really interesting and makes getting this version of the film a no-brainer. It may be expensive, but this comes directly from the director - a rare treat indeed.

It was kind of expensive, but worth it in my eyes. I've been wanting this movie on DVD more than any other. :D

This movie grates on my nerves like no other. Its not the worst, IMO, but I'd rather watch something like Begotten.

Finally got around to ordering this about a week ago, and received it today-- I agree with 40$ + ridiculous shipping being way expensive, but I was very impressed with the package. Comes in a really nice box with a beautiful booklet and slipcover.
I never received an shipping confirmation from them though, I just got a receipt. heh.. the package even came in a David Lynch box.
Anyways, I am more then happy with this disc though, and very glad I finally bought it. Definitally highly recommended! The a/v is absolutly gorgeous.

how is that disc anyways? I almost threw it in with Eraserhead when I ordered, but decided against it. Any of the shorts especially good?

$68! Wow. I too have the R2 disc. For $68 I could ave bought seven of them, and had Eraserhead coasters on the arms of all my chairs.
But if you're a big fan of the film - why not go for the best.

Due to the cost of the shorts, I would only recommend them to diehard fans. They are cool, but the price is up there. I also just got Eraserhead (last Fri). It looks and sounds amazing!!!

I can't honestly see spending money on his short films. They really aren't that interesting, IMO.

I have the Short Films and I really like them. They are expensive but there is no other means of getting them. Besides, the disc has introductions by David Lynch, which is nice.
If you are a Lynch fan then I highly recommend the DVD.
