I have never seen it, but it was filmed down here, near me. Of course, Burt lived in Jupiter, Florida for years.

THE MADDENING is one of my favorites, I own this film in my collection, and it's well worth seeking out for any Horror fan.

Like Shannafey said, it was filmed down here in FL, I believe most of it was filmed on Burt's ranch. Burt Reynolds is terrific in this film, he gives an effective performance. He goes nuts, it's some of Burt's best work in years, Burt's a long way from SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT here! THE MADDENING has some great scares, and many creepy moments, plus a good cast that includes Angie Dickinson as Burt's unstable wife, William Hickey as Burt's dad, and Mia Sara as the heroine. For anyone who only knows Burt from his comedy films, you should check this film out, Burt is very good here.
