Not sure if this is the proper place to post this but ah well. I stumbled across a great DVD site that has a huge list of Region hacks for many many DVD Players. Mine for instance is a Hitachi DVP-415. I did a quick scan search and found the hack:

"Region code or Macrovision hack posted by American weenie at February 14 2002:
Open The DVD Drive
While Open, Press and hold Enter
Enter 1 for region 1 and so on
Insert your region (1-6) DVD
Enjoy!"

Do a search for your DVD Player and hopefully you have success like me :)

Hope that helps some of you.

AOD MGM here I come! :)

Oh, if all else fails, find someone with a DVD Burner and get them to make a copy of your "invalid region" DVD. Thea reason for this is when you burn a DVD-R it removes the region code. I can veryify that DVD Decrypter does this anyways.

here is a guide for that as well:

I stress this is only to be used with DVD's you have purchased. I don't wanna get shit from the forum admin for posting piracy guides. This is only a post to help those without region free players.

I know my player is hackable, but nobody has found the hack for it yet. I know for damn sure it can play PAL cuz I tried a region 0 disc.

Sorry to hear. You would think the site would verify that it works before posting it ....

Try www.vcdhelp.com
I've got codes for a couple players from them and they've both worked.
