After much research, this is the same version I bought a week ago from Mr. Kwang. Hopefully I'll get it this week. I have the Region 3 disc, but I needed widescreen. Personally, even though I have a Malata, if I can get a foreign dvd in NTSC, I go for that rather than PAL. Tartan transfers are too dark for my tastes.

Having said all this, some people prefer the Theatrical Cut over the Director's Cut. That's why I'll probably keep my R3 version.

Hell No, Its not worth even 10 dollars. The reason is because they say the subtitles have alot of spelling mistakes and THE SPECIAL FEATURES are not even SUBTITLED. But the good thing is that it has a good picture quality and better then the other releases by only quality wise and nothing else. The UK Tin has all of those features but they are subtitled so the to go for is the UK TIN. Oh and it's not region 0, its region 3.

I have just bought the UK tin box version and it is gorgeous :) Crisp and clear picture, good sound and lots of extras. Highly recomended!

I've got both the R0 NTSC copy of the theatrical cut and the R0 PAL copy of the 2-disc Director's Cut. I wanted to also get the Korean import since I've heard that the NTSC transfer is superior to the UK release, but if the subtitles are fucked up I'll more than likely pass on getting it.

What's the best NTSC R1/0 with good English subs?

You know, a lot of otherwise very reputable/ respectable online DVD dealers are pretty shady when it comes to mentioning how translated their discs are or aren't... Very disappointing.

A good rule of thumb is always avoid Korean releases. The subs (if any) are always shit.

The UK Tin is the way to go. The only way to go.

That's the one I have. It is the only way to go. I would have loved a DTS track, but overall I think this is the better choice.

Well in that case I'll be twiddling my thumbs until a nice NTSC disc comes my way :D.
