I thoroughly enjoyed the ending to Poltergeist. Not the part when the Freelings arrive at the motel after escaping Questa Verda, I'm talking about the scenes prior to that, beginning when Diane {JoBeth Williams} and Robbie and Carol Anne were in the house trying to go back to their normal lives, and then all hell breaks loose. That part when Diane falls into the muddy swimming pool and all those skeletons are in there totally freaked me out {I had seen on E! True Hollywood story that those skeletons were actually real! :eek1: } And then the part when Diane ran down the hall to the kids' room, I thought it was awesome how the hallway suddenly seemed a mile long, it just made the anticipation of what she was going to find when she opened the door even greater. When the house eventually just collapsed and vanished into nothingness, I thought it was an eerily awesome end to that segment of the movie.

Definitely, Black Christmas.
Black Christmas and Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things. I love it when everybody dies, or might possibly.

"Black Christmas", with the phone ringing, the wind howling, the police officer on the front porch, and the killer's first victim still undiscovered and barely visible through the attic window, to me, is one creepy, yet most satisfying ending. Any bets on a sequel sometime? Anyone care to see one, or should we just leave the original classic alone?

I'd certainly put myself in the "leave it alone" camp on this one. It's been too long to make an effective sequel to this film and one is certainly not necessary.
As for favorite endings:
Sleepaway Camp (couldn't get that out of my head for days)
The Sixth Sense (saw it coming, though)
The Others (Didn't see this one coming. Major bonus points for that.)
Ringu (and The Ring, but they're really the same ending, so...)
Blair Witch Project
Wolf Man

Also, I recently saw Dead And Buried, and that one was pretty cool.

Yes! How I could forget The Others?! :eek1: Great movie and the ending blew me away. When I realized that Nicole Kidman's character and her children were the ones who were the ghosts.. wow, that was brilliant. :glasses:
