Not just the movie, but the extras included; image quality, sound, packaging, price, etc. I would say Evil Dead's Necronomicon version but without the short Within The Woods it just doesn't seem complete, so I'm going with Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Great movie, great image/sound quality, good amount of extras, not too flashy and all wrapped up on a single, convenient disc.
Note that I haven't picked up the new edition of I Spit On Your Grave yet, so...........
I did a thread in the horror polls awhile ago.

I'd probably have to go with Last House on the Left. Even though it's not my favorite overall horror film, it is EASILY the most bang for the buck in extras.

Well, after wading through it a couple times the past few days, I have to say my favorite disc (period) is the Something Weird Sampler, god I could pop that in at any time and it would suit me fine!

Honestly its a toss up between the Re-Animator ME and the Evil Dead Book of the Dead edition which I bought to replace my original Anchor Bay DVD with the clear case because the disk its self is signed by all the female cast and Hal Delrich and no its not for sale. Personally I could care less if the Book of the Dead has the Within the Woods short since I heard there isnt an original negative and every copy of it is beat to shit including my VCD copy (by the way I will trade a copy of it on VCD, VHS, or DivX just make me an offer my email is arcaneimagery@yahoo.com and i would love a workbench copy of Friday the 13th part 2 ). The biggest thing the Book of the Dead has going for it is it looks cool as shit on my entertainment center next to my signed DVD and I dont know what else they could have done to make it more complete especially since both the video and sound (DTS kicks fucking ass and damn right I can tell the difference between it an DD) are as good as the film is ever going to get. On that same token the Re-Animator is also as good as its going to get becasue it too has superior sound (DTS as weel) and picture quality and awsome extras just not as nice a case although the neon green hell color kicks ass. On a side note as to the poll (and im not knocking anyones intellegence) the only difference The Beyond Tin has over the regular DVD is its limited edition, has a few posters inside, and a nice case otherwise its the same damn thing with the same transfer and all the extras. If you opened it (which I havent since i own both) you just fucked up the collectability of it, but then again movies are meant to be watched not horded away somewhere unopened until they are out of print so you can make a profit on ebay. Then again thats just my opinion

Well, not my favorite film - but the best horror DVD I have is Suspiria. You have an excellent transfer of the film itself - a new 50-odd minute documentary, and the full soundtrack on a separate CD. Hard to beat that imho.

That's difficult, but I'd say Black Christmas, simply cos I love this film. LHOTL is great value, I find the film gets better every time I watch it. The Thing is top quality too.

I have to agree with agentc Black Christmas is a great special edition. If you don't have this in your collection your missing out on a great dvd.

I fucking hate it when I buy a cool movie that I think will never be released in a special edition and months later, BANG. Special Edition. :fuck:

My current favorite horror flick would have to be Ginger Snaps. The Canadian release has some nice extras but the movie alone kicks so much ass.
