I keep hearing that we can expect to see, Dracula and Curse of Frankenstein released to DVD this upcoming year, but has anyone heard if this is simply a rumor or something that might actually happen? I'd love to see, The Mummy be released with those titles, too.

Gettin' a little antsy, huh? I don't blame ya. Here it is Christmas, and no new Hammers for under the tree. Sniff sniff... From what I understand, Anchor Bay acquired the rights for quite a few new titles, and before they revamped their website, Anchor Bay even had them on their release schedule (if I remember correctly). Now it's kinda hard to figure out anything on the site. I don't think I like it too much. Well, keep your fingers crossed, you know mine are!

Patience isn't one of my strong points, MH. http://www.horrordvds.com/forum/wink.gif I'm looking foward to the titles announced by Anchor Bay this summer, but yes, I do want more titles to look forward to, beyond the titles they have already announced....I don't know why, I'm way behind in my Hammer collection, but what the hell, knowing they are out there is nice. http://www.horrordvds.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Ah yes, how true. I too sleep better at night knowing they're "out there". When are the powers that be going to realize how successful AB has been and either start lending out the rights or releasing the titles themselves?

A possible sign of good things to come from MGM, they are releasing 3 films on dvd in Feb. from their "Midnite Movies" collection, The Abominable Dr. Phibes, Dr. Phibes Rises Again! and Die, Monster, Die! Several unannounced Hammer films are also part of the "Midnite Movies" collection, such as the The Vampire Lovers, keep your fingers crossed. http://www.horrordvds.com/forum/smile.gif

Wouldn't it be KICK-ASS if the fat cat would put the effort into their Hammer releases that they put into their Bond special editions?!? That would be sweeet!
