Well folks, its that time again. For me, its a time of pulling pranks on friends and then staying up late watching one of the best slashers out there, April Fool's Day. Is anyone else going to indulge in this overlooked gem on this day of trickery?

Of course Rhett. I have been planning the viewing of AFD all week :) What time you gonna watch it ? I think we should all pop it in at the same time, then give our thoughts in the forum afterwards. Sound cool ?

That's not a bad idea. I haven't seen the movie since I got the DVD a couple months ago. I gotta finish watching Harry Potter 2 first though, that's one hella long fucking movie. I got 2-hours into it last night, still got like 40 minutes left in it.
By the way thrash, isn't it House of the Park on the Edge, or Edge of the House on the Park, or something like that?:D

I think I'll call my mom and tell her I got sent to jail. That's always a good joke for this time of year.

I wont be spinning AFD, I'll be popping it in my VCR. I don't have the DVD...yet. :) Still though, should be good fun. I am going to be watching extra close at some scenes to see if there is any hint at the ending, etc., etc.

I just got done watching it again. If you like 80's slasher movies, you should like this one. Don't go looking for a lot of gore, but it's definitely fun.

April Fool's Day is great...one of the more clever slashers of the 80's. Definitely check it out Nemesis, but make sure you don't read up too much on it!

That'd probably just be due to the differences between the PAL and NTSC video systems. I'd be very surprised if the R4 AFD was cut - I picked it up for under $20AUS at K-Mart and it was well worth it!

Well, have to say Friday the 13th: Part 7 (cough) , I mean April Fools Day was great. Sure not alot of gore but a fun cast of actors with a great ending. Rhett, you really must get the DVD. The image quality is super nice :)

Was this the first time you'd seen it Latency? I love all the Agathy Christie referenes in the film too, very cool. I plan on picking up the DVD very shortly!

Basically yes. I first saw it at a very young age.
I know nothing about Agatha Christie :( Shucks
I felt like I was watching a Friday the 13th film a few times. The music and filming is very very similar. Thats all I picked up from it. Loved the humor too. That big dumb blonde guy kicked ass :)

Yes, the DVD is a must-have. For those who have only seen the film on VHS all these years, the DVD is in the film's original aspect ratio of 2:35:1 and looks incredible.
