Anybody picking this set up? I will soon. i don't have any of the movies in the set on dvd so it's not a double dip for me.

I was planning on picking up Creepshow 2 anyway, and I have been wanting to watch Maximum Overdrive for a while (although I have no idea why!).

I did not care for the Children Of The Corn though, so I will see what happens.

I just got Max. Overdrive used last week.
I didn't care too much for it when I saw it years ago, but fucking loved it this time!
As for the box, I already have Creepshow2 and could care less about COTC (I kinda want to see that again to see if it has the same effect as M.O., but doubt it.)

I already got C2 and i don't like COTC but MO is ok but i'm not going to buy the boxset.

Those are pretty decent movies, IMO. I love Maximum Overdrive, that's one of my favorite King movies.

I might get it. It's a damn good deal, less than $10 a disc at Best Buy. Don't have any of them either. MO is alright and I actually like COTC, but I dunno. There's other stuff I want to get first.

Yeah I'm working on Brazil, Which i'm ordring this week, The Nightmare set which is $69 at DDD, and Straw Dogs-Criterion.

Does the "Maximum Overdrive" DVD have that commercial on it with Stephen King where he says "I'm gonna scare the hell out of you."?

'cuz I kinda dug that commercial when the movie first ran.

It's on the DVD. Classic stuff! I wonder if King was serious... :lol:

may pick this up eventually, but right now i have too many other dvds to get first. speaking of Creepshow, i found the original at walmart for only $5.88!! can't beat that. i was hoping CS2 would be in the bargain bin as well, but it seems the bargain bin only has movies from certain companies (WB, Columbia and New Line).
