Saw this last night. R2 release - uncut.

It looked alright, no real extras (very short trailer).

However, I really didn't enjoy it. All the humor was gone and the cheapo production with the same interior set being used over and over again, just made it feel claustrophobic. The zombie mostly looked like the Crypt Keeper from Takes from the Crypt, or something from Creepshow, which is not my idea of good SFX. Plus, the film goes on for another 20 minutes after the story is finished - which could have been good, except they repeated the opening scenes all over again.......

So - not a terrible release (it's 1:33, but I understand it was filmed that way) and I paid $10 for it. But it's really not a film I'd recommend anyone get. There is a bit of gore (one lip biting scene is like classic Fulci). The first ROTLD is great, but this one, lacking the humor, just falls flat, imho.

I loved the last 20 minutes. Anyways, I thought it was nice to see a more serious ROTLD movie. It feels kinda like Demon Knight, Lost Boys and Resident Evil mixed into one film (that's a good thing). I loved this flick and highly recommend it :D. And for $10 it's a steal.

But the last 20 minutes is the same as the opening 20 minutes with different characters..... that was my problem with it....

The girl is kinda cute though.

That would explain it :)

Demon Knight does not interest me. Resident evil is really bad, imho.

I really didn't like this movie much either, Dwatts... so AT LAST we can finally agree on something. It is nowhere near the greatness of the first two... and I find the 3 to be a mean-spirited, unlikable film, IMO. :fuck:

Alright - I admit it. I'd have with a dead person. But ONLY if it was THAT dead person. Even with spikes through her head, she oozed sexuality.

I was gonna post something similar but my wife reads the boards :)

I would do it with her too in a second ... if I didn't love my wife so much *looks over his shoulder* :)

Mindy Clarke is so hot! She is definitely the best thing about this movie.(Except for the hispanic zombie "Abra la Puerta!")

Well the first film is my absolute favorite film of all time. The 2nd and 3rd movie pale in comparison to me. That's not saying they're good movies though, I can't wait for Warner's ROTLD 2 disc.

the Region 1 R Cut runs for about $30 CAD. The uncut R2 goes for $10 US at Xploited. I got mine from bensons for 8.95 pounds.

I picked this up for 9.99 at Best Buy during a recent US trip. I prefer this to part 2 and of course Mindy Clark is hot hot hot.

I really like ROTLD 3. I saw it when it came out on video here, and got the DVD for my wife for xmas last year (along with the crappy boot fo ROTLD 2 - already had the MGM ROTLD), and we both really like it. It's not for everyone though (I have to admit to LOVING Demon Knight - I saw it at the flicks).

Is it just me? I thought ROTLD3 was a veritable classic compared to the turd sandwich that was Part 2 (I actually saw Part 2 when it first came out at the flicks: my most disappointing horror movie cinema experience *ever*).

PART 2 was so bad I had to leave the windows open all day after it finished just to get the stink out of the room, after I gave it a second chance on video.

On the other hand, PART 3 was the ROMEO & JULIET of zombie movies. Who cares if they ditched the comedy angle? Who actually wants to see more horror comedies?

I don't suppose ROTLD 2 is available anywhere?? i wanted to watch that before i watched #3.. or are they all independant of eachother?

ROTLD 3 is an excellent little film in my book, and the zombies look fantastic! Its a different type of zombie film, and I loved the direction the story took. Plus, its easily superior to the piece of utter shit that is Part 2, which I consider to be one of the worst films I've seen.

You definitely do not need to see ROTLD 2 before you see ROTLD 3. The three movies are definitely independent of each other, except that Part 2 makes lots of in-joke references to Part 1.

i appreciate the offer, but i have nothing to trade for it. i'll probably pick it up at xploited, as they seem to have a few other titles i want as well.

I love Part 3 the most in this series. I think Part 1 is O.K. and Part 2 does suck. I never cared for forced comedy in my zombies movies too much. Unintentional comedy is fine but not forced.
I had a hard time getting my friend to watch some good Zombie movies like Dawn of the Dead and the Fulchi ones because he thought all Zombies movies were stupid and corny because he only saw the 1st 2 return of the living deads.
I like Part 3 because it was an original story and it did some new things for Zombie movies and also because it is the only serious entry in the series. :)

ROTLD 2 and 3 are both better than Killer Tongue, in any case,
even given the perverse thrill of seeing Mindy Clarke with something so (bizarrely) phallic in her mouth.
