Popped into Best Buy, saw this for sale and don't know a thing about it. Yea or nay?

From what I remember, and I remember very little, it was a terrible Omen rip-off.

I just bought this after enjoying this on video for many years. a high-school student is really the anti-christ and begins to assert his authority over his fellow classmates. There are a couple of women as angels sent to destroy him. Some gore and clever effects. I liked this a lot. Kind of a lower budget male Carrie.

There are previous threads on this title that I've given my opinion. I own the VHS and watched it again not long ago to be sure I wanted the DVD. Well, I'm not buying it as the acting is sub-par in many spots and the effects are quite terrible especially at the end. Sure these elements can make a movie fun, but not this one. The only saving grace for this one in my eyes is the punk rock score. Bottom line: I'd pass on this one.

Much as I like Anchor Bay, I thought i liked it from seeing it years ago, but I checked my old video lately, and decided to pass on it

It's probably sad, but all I remember about it is the skinny, pale, dark haired full-frontal guy and some vague Omen-ish plot. I don't remember it being too bad. I guess I've seen a lot worse. What probably hurt matters for me is that the quality of the video was VERY shitty. Low volume, crappy picture. Then again, the last time I saw this was in the 80s.
