I have no intention of seeing this film unless the death scenes sound like something I want to pay $9 to see. To that point, I would very much appreciate it if whomever saw a recent screening would post a detailed account of the death scenes.

Thanks!

I would be glad to give some details AFTER the movie is released. More people will see the movie and the discussion will probably be much more informative.

I will say that fans of either series will be pleased with the finished product. It is a great blend of both films and was a joy to watch. I will be more than willing to pay full price to see it again this weekend.

If at any time in your life you enjoyed a Friday or Nightmare, you will have fun with this movie. I saw it tonight, and got exactly what I expected from it. When I was a kid, what made these movies great and fun were blood, guts, tits, Freddy and Jason. You get all of these things in the first 10 minutes.

Will you care about the teens? Of course not, that's not why you're there, they're nothing but fodder to be taken care of by our "heroes". Once all that's done, you get to see exactly what the title implies, and boy, is it worth it.

As you've probably noticed, I've given you no real spoilers. You know what to expect, now go out there and have fun with it. Especially now, since you'll get to see it with a bunch of other fanboys who are there to share the same experience. That above all else is the main reason to go now. There are others there who can add to your fun, I say let them.

ENJOY!!

You don't understand.

I don't want to see this movie. I care nothing for the plot. I care nothing for the back story. And, more importantly, I care nothing for either Freddy or Jason. I haven't cared about the franchise since part 2 of either movie.

Slasher films are just that: slasher films. Neither the characters, nor the plot, nor whatever back story has been concocted, ever matter to me. All I'm in the theater for is to see as much on-screen violence as possible. Unfortunately, the "golden age" of gore-fests has long since past, and gorehounds such as myself have been forced to do research on slasher films, just to make sure their death scenes are worth the price of admission.

It's akin to a Star Wars fan going to a movie they have no interest in actually watching, just so they can pay $9 to see the trailer for the next Star Wars movie.

To that end, all I'm asking for is a detailed account of the death scenes.

Alright I may be RUINING THIS THREAD FOR ANYONE WHO DOESN'T WANT ANY SPOILERS but...

The first death: a guy is stabbed and has his bed folded in half. Blood is everywhere.

The second and third: a guy is sitting on the porch with his dad who isn't talking. He taps his head which then falls off. Then he gets stabbed by Jason.

More: in the woods this raver decides to fuck a girl who has passed out. Mid-hump, he is stabbed through by Jason, killing her as well.

Etc.: Jason slices and dices his way through teen after teen, literally slitting throats as he goes along. It's nice.

Jason also severs a pothead (possessed by Freddy) in two, in nice detail.

I honestly don't remember anything Freddy did.

The deaths are great, and so is Monica Keena.
