I'm not trying to start a flame was here, but this struck me as so funny I had to tell you people...

I am in Japan at the moment on holidays, and due to the economic downturn, there are now a lot of homeless people. In one of the parks I visited on Friday, there were a lot of makeshift tents complete with petrol generators, tvs, and (now get this) Laserdisc players for karaoke!!!

Unbelievable.

You can pick up LDs very cheap here, and there are tons of them about.

Sorry guys - no luck in seeing either of these. However, I didn't spend a great deal of time looking - it is a real headache trying to figure out Japanese sorting methods. Maybe try contacting a couple of the forum members I've seen that actually live in Japan. They may be able to help out.
