Night of the Comet

At around 3am about a week ago or so I caught Night of the Comet on cable and I gotta say I liked it. Sure it's a bad movie but come on it's one of the better bad movies out there. I think it was a cool idea being the only people let in the world. And if your an 80's movie freak then you'd notice the lead girl is played by Jonathon Silvermans girlfriend in Weekend at Bernies, Catherine Mary Stewart. I love catching these bad movie late at night they almost seem good, maybe it's because I was half asleep.

They play this on cable all the time. I've always enjoyed this movie. I'd definately pick it up on DVD.

One of my own personal cult classics. I would love a dvd release, a good one sure, but I would buy a bad one too, as my vhs broke last year. :cry:

I was searching through some of my old VHS tapes, which have been put into a box a shoved into my closet, and came across Night of The Comet... come to find out I actually own this movie. It must have been my brothers, if only there was a way for me to put it on DVD. The VHS is in pretty good shape.

I think it'll eventually be on dvd. I, too have a store bought vhs. Maybe I will get it to dvd, once my burner is set up.

That's too bad, I was looking forward to that release.
Somebody should make a DVD version. I had just recently made a DVD of House of the Long Shadows with a fake DTS soundtrack.
It's not that hard, just a little time consuming.

Night of the Comet will be available in the USA on DVD soon. No exact release date is confirmed yet but preliminary information gives 28th Oct 2003. As soon as we know more, the information will be posted on this site.

The DVD picture has been mastered in a 4:3 Normal screen (not Widescreen) size that is designed to fit a normal TV.

The sound is mastered in Dolby Digital 2.0 (Stereo). This provides good sound quality and compatibility with TV's, Stereo or Dolby Surround equipment.

The Night of the Comet DVD sadly doesn't include any extra features at all...

I'll still buy it since my vhs copy is so thrashed it's almost unbearable to watch.
