I'm rolling out the puke stained carpet and you're invited to choose the worst horror sequel. So, strap on your barf bags and vote! (Apologies to anyone who loves these sequels.):)

POLTERGEIST III is way up there if you ask me. Totally putrid and unwatchable.

I would say Puppet Master 6 and up but I think Candyman 3 is more deserving. I don't get why they even make useless DTV sequels that everyone will hate, it's not like they're going to make money.

After getting past about the first thirty minutes of pointless meandering, I actually enjoyed the fourth Texas Chainsaw Massacre...

Definitely either Jason Takes Manhattan or Halloween II.

Am I the only one that actually enjoyed I Still Know What You Did Last Summer? Sometimes I think that I'm all alone in the world:(

I LOVE Exorcist II
I think it's one of the most underated horror film of all time - there are people who loathe it and people that really adore this film.
I'd KILL for a SE DVD!

I voted other because I can't think right now. If I head to vote it would be The Birds 2, but even then every one of those films are great beer movies, and I absolutly love TCM4, the dinner was absolutly hilarious, where the hell did Grampa go to, he just grabbed a knife and walked away. Hilarious stuff there.

I voted for "Jaws the Revenge." As an editor, I can't stand a shark that can't punctuate.
Though "Jason Takes Manhattan" would be a winner in my book.

I don't think it counts if the whole franchise sucks.

Ok, fair enough. :)
Tough call between The Hills Have Eyes 2 (the dog gets a flashback? What was Craven thinking?) and Jaws: The Revenge (Gotta love that roaring shark).

That flashback comment reminded me of Slumber Party Massacre 2.

Definitely either Jason Takes Manhattan or Halloween II.
Damn! I thought HALLOWEEN 2 was pretty good!! I thought Mike Myers was HARDER and MEANER than the original. I know, the hospital was so EMPTY that it had to be a joke, but I still thought it was sweet!! Could also be because I love that pumpkin/skull cover!!!

It's ok, I'm the only one who didn't like it. Probably because I loved the first one so much, and the second was so different.
I'll still buy the DVD though, to give it a second chance.
Also, Rick Rosenthal was my gym teacher's uncle ;) .

I'm kicking myself for not including the vomitous Jason Takes Manhattan, Poltergeist 111, Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 5: The Dream Child, Troll 11:p, etc.
Thanks for voting, guys. I have a love/hate relationship with sequels.
My vote went to TCM: The Next Generation. This shit was Bad News without the Bears. Kim Henkel is a hack.

I think Pet Sematary II is the worst film in existence. It makes Leprecahun In The Hood look like Ghandi.

I was this close to voting for Pet Sematary 2 then I chose freakin' Jaws the Revenge basically for being so damn stupid.
If I could offer a new entry for Most Disappointing Waste of a Horror Sequel, I'd definitely vote for Blair Witch 2. This movie made me want to smack strangers in the face and run away cackling.

Man, I really, really like Jason takes Manhattan. Perhaps it's the nostalgia, the memories, the sentimental tear in my eye I get when watching this moving and fine piece of camp-art, or maybe I'm just dumb, but I find it enjoyable. It's actually one of the Friday the 13th DVD's I will buy when released, even bare-bones, along with the sixth one, because I just can't wait for these cinematic milestones. OK, aside from my meaningsless banter, I think most of those sequel-options are beyond worst and some are even not watchable but I'll put my vote on Pet Sematary 2 for being such an asshole of a picture. No offense to those actually liking it. ;)

Nightmare 5 was bad ass. All of them were. I'd have to complain about Hellraiser 5 though. I mean a little cop gone bad story is fine but what the hell does any of it have to do with Hellraiser besides a couple cenobites. And though it's not out yet, this Scary Movie 2 looks pretty bad. I actually kinda enjoyed the first, but now they're spoofing commercials and game shows?

Hellraiser 5 had a great deal to do with the rest of the series. Remember, the Cenobites were not so much of the main aspect of the first film. I like 5 alot simply because it adds a new dimension to the mythology. I like the idea of where the movies could be heading. I don't think 5 was a great film, but it certainly works for me.

Haha I know it'll suck, but I've been waiting for something to spoof the shit out of that Nike basketball commercial, so I laughed my ass off at the preview. The rest of the movie, I'll admit looks bad, though making fun of Poltergeist is cool in my book :).

Hmmm...I Know this will annoy a lot of people but my vote would go to Evil dead II. This was the most disappointed I have ever been after looking forward to a film so much. It is an enjoyable film to watch now (I have the LE Tin) if you take it as a stand-alone but as a follow up to such a classic film? It's a complete piss-take. I know the original had elements of tongue in cheek humour but it was still one of the finest horror films ever made (IMHO) and to follow up with such a complete slaptick comedy was a terrible thing. And the less said about part III the better.....

And how about all of those horrible direct-to-TV sequels like Prom Night 3 or 4 or House 4. Man, that TV-lightning and feel when it's so obvious that they have other pretentions just make me sick. Nothing against quality TV-films.
