Having sent off one of those reply cards I found in a Shriek Show dvd awhile back, I comletely forgot about it 5 minutes after doing so until today....MEDIA BLASTERS sent an extremely cool promo for there upcoming Flesh For the Beast release. It is a mini catalog along with a dvd that includes the trailers from ALL of their releases. That includes Shriek Show, Tokyo Shock and a few called Guilty Pleasures. Along with all the previews there is a behind the scenes look at their production of Flesh For the Beast, which looks great.
Had this disk been for sale, I would have bought it..it's that cool. A HEADS UP to those of you that like these sort of things, and a great THANKS to MEDIA BLASTERS for going above and beyond..I have at least 10-12 more dvds to buy now because of this damn thing :p ...

thats really cool...and they should, after all the disc problems they have had of late. mis-framed transfers....missing features and other bummers. but I love SS anyway! great titles and an essential label for horror fans. I never sent in a card....and so I get nothing:cry:. looks like I'll start sending in all those little cards from all my dvds! thanks for the heads-up.

Haha I recently found a ZOMBIE HOLOCAUST card that I'd filled out a while back. How many do I need to send in to get this? It probably doesn't matter, as I have most of the SS releases anyway, but it'd be nice to have a trailer disc.

I filled out a form on their website and got my screener package within a couple days! :)

It included four discs, full of trailers, and a catalog of their titles. One of the discs had a crummy trailer for A Lizard in a Woman's Skin, but it made me anxious for their release nonetheless. :(

EDIT: All you have to do is go to their website (www.media-blasters.com) and click on "JOIN OUR CONSUMER MAILING LIST" near the top of the page. :banana:

yep...my bad. I just kept going into the Shriek Show part which has the same ole pics and stuff. sorry 'bout that. cant wait to get something in the mail......:D

me too.. i didnt think theyd send free stuff to australia, but when i saw the country dropdown box i got excited.. bugger huh? :(

I just got my second Media Blasters packet today. It has the catalog, six screener discs, including the Flesh for the Beast one and some postcards. One of them is an Ichi the Killer postcard. I also got a Versus one, which looks like a sticker, too. I know atleast two of the discs are anime. I haven't watched any of them yet, but two of them have anime labels. A couple of them look like ones I got before, but some of them are definately new to me.

I think everyone here needs to send them e mail and ask them what the hell is going on with Lizard,Virgin and zombie.They can send out freebees but they cant deliver on release date's.Maybe with enough bitching they will respond.

Got mine today.Really like the trailer dvd. Beats having to switch all those dvds.And I now have a Fudoh trailer. Good stuff.

Media Blasters did us a solid.

Well Media Blasters started out as an anime company and I would wager that the anime line is where the majority of their profit still lies,so I don't think it should surprise anyone that the FREE stuff we got had alot of anime emphasis in it.

I'm still waiting for mine to come in. As much as I'm getting sick of anime on Adult Swim and stuff, I still enjoy it when made well, so if someone wants to advertise it to me, go ahead.

The first packet I got had a ton of anime in it. I'm expecting a lot of this one to be anime, too. It wouldn't be bad if I actually liked that shit.

I am getting a bit pissed off. I have bought their dvds and sent in the cards, and have never received anything from them. I have signed up online twice, and the same. It always seems that the loyal customers get screwed, because they want to spend the money to try to entice new customers instead. A lot of chains, companies, etc. have that approach and don't realize the damage they do to the customer base.

I got 6 discs in mine. Screeners for March, July and August, which I think are each only a few minutes long. They basically advertise two or so movies from each of the Media-Blasters labels. Then I got an AnimeWorks Catalog trailer disc. Another that I didn't look at yet with an anime girl holding a sword that says July Trailers, and the Flesh for the Beast one.

I'm not too big on Anime either, but it's free, plus the Flesh for the Beast disc is great so it makes up for it. This is off topic probably, but does anyone know of any anime that looks different? The reason I don't care for anime stuff is I don't like the way they draw the characters very much. If there were animated movies that looked like the stuff you see in Top Cow comics, or something like that I'd probably be into them.

FINALLY, I got one package with the Flesh for the Beast disc, which is awesome!! Great trailers! Though, most of the films look terrible! Flesh for the Beast sounds pretty cool!! I haven't, however, gotten any of the other discs you guys mentioned. Were they in the same package? Or separate? As I said, it really ticks me off, since I bought so many of their products, and sent in the mailers.

Honestly, it's not worth having unless you're really into anime. Mine came with postcards for ICHI THE KILLER, BIOZOMBIE, FLESH FOR THE BEAST, VISITOR Q, and VERSUS (this is the best part of the package); March, July, and August Screeners; Animeworks Catalog, Flesh for the Beast and Film Catalog (the best disc), and another anime July Trailers. THere is also a small poster-like thing for FLESH FOR THE BEAST and an anime book/calendar thing.

Strange, I signed up and received about 6 DVD's in about 4 days. I signed up about 2 days after this thread was created - maybe they wanted to check the OAR on thier trailers?
