I finally found them. This place, Chicago One Stop, makes the best LD protectors I've ever had. I used to get them from Playback Trading, but they were expensive and they told me they were no longer being made. Well, now Chicago One Stop is offering them to the public via eBay.

Less than a buck a piece. Well worth the investment.

I think there's a reason why these bags are so cheap...........stay with Mylar bags for long term storage needs.....

These bags are incredible. And their price is high, not cheap. Have you seen mylar bags for sale at Bags Unlimited? They are much cheaper.

These bags have been recommended for many years from folks on both vinyl and laserdisc newsgroups. No idea if they are better than mylar, but I would imagine they are just as good, and I love the heavy duty quality on these.

I just got off the phone with the lady; I had to call in to make a credit card payment. She said right now they are selling all they have on ebay, in terms of the LD/LP protectors. They are unsure if they'll manufacture anymore. So now I'm thinking I may need to buy another 50 in the next few weeks. The current 50 will allow me to have the rest of my collection in these bags. But another 50 would keep me strong for a few years.

Actually Dave, I stand corrected......they are at a slightly-higher price (for a 50 count) than the Mylars that I have been using (shipping charges aside): http://www.bagsunlimited.com/cart/detail.asp?product_id=s1313m2

At any rate, I would recommend that people be sure to get Mylar bags for long-term protection.....

After emails, the eBay seller confirmed that these bags are not Mylars......so, go from there, according to your needs...
