I don't know if it was posted before but I saw this from rue-morgue.com

"Dark Horizons reports that the rumoured HELLOWEEN movies, a marriage of the HALLOWEEN and HELLRAISER franchises, is indeed in the works despite the negative results of the fan poll on the official Halloween site. Fans voted a landslide NO to a merger of the two film series. DOUG BRADLEY has recently confirmed his involvement, with CLIVE BARKER possibly pushing the pen. It could be worse, someone could remake The Hills Have Eyes - wait a minute, New Line is doing just that. Oh my Gore!"

pinhead vs. myers might be happenning.

I was going for "WeinRaiser" personally. Good sexual overtones:p

If Clive Barker is pinning this I hope he does it justice, especially after his comments about being sick of "Hellraiser".

The only downside of the success of Freddy vs. Jason is the slew of copycat franchise mergers that might yield shitty results.

With the possibility of Barker writing the script and Carpenter directing, am I alone in actually feeling some excitement about this concept?

According to DarkHorizons.com today:

Helloween & LXG 2: Moviehole reports that despite Doug Bradley's comments of late, the proposed teaming of pale-faced serial killer Michael Myers from "Halloween" against pale-faced demon Pinhead from "Hellraiser" in "Helloween" is not going ahead - a source confirmed that "I don't know how many times we are going to have to say this and apologies for all the confusing stories, but the Halloween vs. Hellraiser project is NOT officially on. Any stories you hear to the contrary are false". The site is also reporting that "Australia is rumoured to be playing host to a soon to be filmed sequel to LXG". Sounds unlikely right considering the expense - interestingly enough its rumoured they'll re-cast many of the main parts excluding Australian actress Peta Wilson who reportedly is interested in reprising her role as Mina Harker for the sequel, with auditions occurring shortly. Thanks to 'Clint'

So maybe not then? Lets hope this is right..

I hope so!! This would be a terrible idea for a flick. It needs to stay in rumorville permanently.
