A straight-to-video ski resort slasher (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0282163/combined).

I liked it - some good gore...above-average slasher fare. You could do a lot worse.

I plan on buying the MGM widescreen version - I saw it originally as a Region-Free NTSC fullscreen edition from Brazil earlier this year.

I like the tagline though :)

I watched this a couple of weeks ago and that that it was okay. I thought that it could have used more gore and nudity, but then I almost always feel that way! :D

I have the UK DVD. It's a pretty entertaining movie. I suggest you consider picking it up, if you're a sucker for low-busget slasher movies.

does anyone know if the R1 version is cut? someone over at the creature corner boards said it was but never confirmed anything. how is the R2 version? it says it's widescreen.

I don't know if it's cut any or not, but the DVD does include around 9 or 10 minutes of deleted and alternate scenes.

I do know that there is a layer transition problem with the Region 1 DVD of Shredder. This only happens when you choose the "Widescreen" version. The Full-Frame version plays okay. I had bought the DVD at Best Buy and the dual-layer is definitely flawed. I returned it for a second disc and it did the exact same thing on all three of our DVD players, including our DVD-ROM.

Next, I rented it...sure enough it did the exact same thing on all three players. It's a WAMO manufactured disc. There were no marks or scratches on any of the three discs so I can rule that out. I've heard of many problems with WAMO manufactured discs before (including "DVD Rot") but never experienced any until now. First MGM DVD I've ever had any problem with whatsoever.

I just watched the movie and it was ok. I kinda enjoyed it but was really pissed they didnt show the blonde chicks tits. I mean if they are going to show a sex scene you have to show nudity. If you dont really whats the point. Other than that problem it was allright. Def worth a rental but not a buy.
Katatonia what problem were you getting? I didnt see any problem at all other than 1 slight studder but I thought that was just the disc being dirty.

After seeing this title mentioned here, I put this at the top of my Netflix queue a few days before its release date. That day comes around and this film is already backordered with a "Long Wait" listed as expected ship date. Who would have thought there would have been such a demand?

I rented it back around when it came out, and I'd say I liked it. I was also pissed Lindsey McKeon didn't show anything. Normally I don't really care, I actually think most of the time nude/sex scenes kinda slow the movie down, but I actually got a little something (if you catch my drift) just watching that girl walk around fully clothed. I used to watch her on Saved by the Bell: The New Class, she went from really cute to really freakin' hot there. Anyone else find it kinda funny that she's on the front cover twice?

Otherwise the movie was okay. They had a running gag that was actually funny, which is rare. But it also had the worst CGI death I think I've ever seen. If you've gotta go the CGI route on a low budget movie, don't. Think of something else for god's sake. I don't know if it outdid the shark swallowing the boat in Shark Attack 3, but it was pretty awful. Funny though, gave me several minutes of giggles afterwards but I don't think it was meant to be funny.

you mean the cgi at the very end? If so I really thought it was helerious also but I kinda liked it.

I know who Lindsey is, because she's on Guiding Light, which yes, I do watch. Anyways, this film looks interesting. I'll probably give it a rent.

just watched this movie. pretty stupid. i could handle it as a watchable slasher but i had a big problem with the chick that was laying dead in the snow with her eyes open and a giant hole in her head comes back to life and puts a hat over her hole and saves the day. whatever  i kinda like the story though because skiers are such complainy pussies :p

I picked this up back in December and enjoyed it.I thought it was one of the better DTV movies I've seen.

I got this on Mark's recommendation and watched it last night and had a blast. OK, sure, it sucks, but in that low budget slasher kind of way that makes me all happy and warm inside. Towards the end, a chick was running around the resort in the dark in her leopard skin undies with no real means of protecting herself and I just got the major giggles. THAT is why I love slashers. They are just so damn amusing.

Oh, and Death to Snowboarders. :fire:

So can anyone confirm that the Us DVD is cut?

Enjoyed this one myself-one of the better low-budget slashers I've seen in quite some time with some decent gore. MUCH better than the utter shit that keeps popping up in my Blockbuster by MTI and the like. ("Fanglys", anyone?)

I snagged this used a few weeks ago for $3 and although my roommate said it sucked all ass, I decided to watch it tonight as I really had nothing better to do before waiting to go to work. I thought it was pretty damn good. I'm definitely glad I picked it up and think that I'll watch it a lot more in the future. And I thought I was going to be able to get some money back for selling it, but now I just can't bring myself to doing that.

I think it's definitely a cool little guilty pleasure. I still have my copy. :)

Yeah I picked up a copy of this months back for $4 used...it's a keeper, even though that ending that was mentioned earlier in this thread is quite baffling.

I enjoyed it. Nothing great, but it's entertaining. Some hot babes, even if we don't get to see the one chick's ta-ta's.

Surprisingly a pretty good film for a DTV title. There are 60 titles out there that are far worse. Still not a bad watch if you can pick it up on the cheap.
