you can use divx. quality is better than mpeg but it won't play on all (except 1) dvd players.
I never use P2P programs, too much of a hassel, but I hear bittorrent is good.

why not split the movie into 2 CDs??? Works great for me.
Edit: I agree, use BitTorrent, runs on Windows and Mac, and suprnova.org has a lot.

Wez, go to www.vcdhelp.com and check out the stuff about fitting more than 80 min. on a vcd. It is a bit lower quality, and I wouldn't go too far over. I would keep it at 100 Min. or less, but I had been doing it for a while, until I got my dvd burner.

The length of the movie of the movie is not going to determine how long of a movie you can fit on a disk as much as the quality. It the film is 70 minutes and is a good quality your still not going to get it on the disk.

that's not correct Ash. in VCD format, 80 mins or less, will fit onto an 80 min CDR. VCD has a specific format. now if you go another route, like SVCD or XVCD, then that's a different story.

That's what I was talking about. I have gotten over 2 hours on an XVCD, but the quality starts to suck, so I wouldn't go over 100 Min. Of course, some dvd players might not play something that strays from the vcd specs.
