The current DVD htat included subtitles is cut. I have it. The subtitles are fine and the disc quality is fine if you dont mind the missing gore. I will say this--Ive now managed to see it uncut---and thats waht you want to see.....

I think Lions Gate is releasing the R1 version, so you can guarantee it will be cut to shit.

It was pretty hyped up on Diabolik, but after reading this review from someone who saw the film at Sundance, I think I'll pass unless I read some really good reviews from trusted sources.
People will try to sell you on this being a really scary movie... IT ISN'T!!! It's simply a french slasher film. Decent performances... a couple of decent gore shots... but a LOUSY story... it made no sense. At the Q&A afterward, the audience started verbally attacking the filmmaker for ripping off some Dean Koonz novel (Intensity), and for his story making no sense. He explained that he doesn't worry about story, only visuals.... Lion's Gate already picked this film up and will undoubtedly try to con the public into thinking it's good... sort of like last year's Cabin Fever...

This last quote is pretty meaningless. I heard great praise from its screening at the Toronto film fest. And from someone who didn't enjoy CABIN FEVER, I can only assume that horror isn't really their bag.

Its a fun slasher/survival film. Godd suspense, lots of gore, and some vicious nasty stuff. It doesn't redefine the genre, its not a work of genius, ts just good at what it does
