I just got the giallo box in the mail the other day, and so far I've watched 3 of the 4 movies, and damn that's a sweet collection. But besides Argento's stuff, and Fulci (who i don't like; i know that's a sin), this is my only exposure to giallo. So what are some good movies and good directors to look for? I was thinking about picking up Watch Me When I Kill, and maybe try to find Night Train Murders. What do you think?
Talk up some giallo.

Wait on NIGHT TRAIN MURDERS, since BU is releasing it. WATCH ME WHEN I KILL supposedly has a horrible transfer, but I've been meaning to see it as well.
I would suggest the following:
5 DOLLS FOR AN AUGUST MOON - definitely a different kind of Bava film, but thoroughly worth checking out. Some very interesting moments.
AUTOPSY - also cool, with some really creepy scenes that are a bit out of context.
HOUSE WITH THE LAUGHING WINDOWS - fantastic movie, although I don't strictly consider it a giallo. Great twists and an engaging story. However, the way it was shot makes it look like a TV film, which was very offputting for me on a first viewing. I've since gotten over it though.
SEVEN BLOOD-STAINED ORCHIDS - doesn't break any new ground, but it's a fun watch all the same.
SPASMO - definitely different from most other gialli, but again it really keeps you interested.
TORSO - hot women, great kills. What more do you want?
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO SOLANGE? - grew on me upon multiple viewings. At first I felt indifferent to it, but I've since learned to like it more. The great cast doesn't hurt.
There are reviews for some of those at the site in my signature.

Still they're not released yet so I'll buy the Lenzi Gialli and Martino Gialli first.I will be getting those in the near future, since I have money again:banana:

nice, thanks for the suggestions. All of the ones on your site sounded excellent, I'll definitely check them out.
The House With Laughing Windows grew on me a lot the 2nd and 3rd times I watched it. I wasn't really sure if that would be considered giallo or not.

a few more added to the ol' wishlist.
I have a question. I ordered the R1 Torso disc, but now I see the R2 version has an opening scene that's missing from the R1. So for anyone who's seen both versions, is the difference really that big a deal, or is either release fine?

I agree with the two choices in the "Second Division" I've seen: Cold Eyes of Fire sucks beyond belief (I rented it once), and last night I watched "A Blade In The Dark," which put me to sleep. The latter was part of the two-fer disc with "Macabre" (a good film although not a giallo). I'm starting to think that Lamberto is definitely 2nd tier, as opposed to his father/Argento/Fulci/Deodato, who are first tier directors.
