Very pleased to see that One Dark Night has been added back to the list, as I was worried they weren't going to release it after all. Disappointed that they still haven't put Mosquito back on the list though.

Fire & Ice... Hell yes! But for some reason, the title that makes me the most enthusiastic:

Circle of Iron!!!

Gahhh!!! This film almost slipped from memory, chalk me up as the first in line!

David Carradine and Christopher Lee in a fantasy martial arts movie with wizards? I'm second in line!

Man, Blue Underground, Synapse and Unearthed Films all have great line ups. They've become the holy trinity of grade A editions for obsure cult films.

well dont get your hopes up too much on CIRCLE OF IRON, it really isnt a kung fu with wizarrds, more like a tranquil zen philosophy movie, more peaceful than action.

Good shit anyway, well paced for what it was. Surreal moments too. Not nearly as extreme or "out there" as El Topo (so don't get your hopes up or even try to compare the two), but I was reminded of Circle of Iron when seeing El Topo for the first time because they are structured in a similar manner, at least the trials of Circle and the gunmen of El Topo.

It's been way too long, I feel like I'm talking out of my ass.

And you're going to have to keep waiting. According to Video Business magazine the release date is March 2005. The good news is that there is commentary by Ralph Bakshi.

The other release dates listed are:

Cannonball - September 2004
Circle Of Iron - September 2004
The Loveless - November 2004

Circle of Iron was great. There is a scene in Kill Bill vol 2 when Carradine is playing the flute for Thruman that reminds me of a scene in Circle of Iron. I kinda wondered if that is what inspired it.

I nearly bought Fast Company tonight but waited to see the online trailer. Damn I wish Zombi 2 would hurry the fuck up!

Nah, I wasn't expecting a Bruce Lee flix or anything, but it still sounds like some cool stuff.

The irony is that Bruce Lee wrote the original draft of the movie.
