Heyas.

Has anyone seen some of the flicks of José Mojica Marins (aka Coffin Joe)? Such classics as This Night I'll Possess your Corpse and At Midnight I'll Take your Soul. Great stuff. If you want some really bizarre foreign (Brazilian, specifically) film, go for these. Check out Shocking Images (http://www.shockingimages.com) for more details. So, back to the point - has anyone seen these?

I've seen At Midnight I'll Take Your Soul... Very cool; I definitely want to see the others. I really wish more than the three that are out now would come out on DVD.

DVD Planet has Awakening of the Beast and This Night I'll Possess your Corpse on sale for $15.99 ea. Debating on if I want to snag them.

There are some Coffin Joe movies playing at the Film Archives Theatre in NYC in Aug. Just thought i'd let some of you who live in the tri-state area know. I just found out myself and will have to check them out.

Werner: The others are well worth the watch. The second flick about Ze is all in black and white, but when he goes to hell it turns to colour! Priceless stuff.

Jason: Believe me, it's worth every penny. Although I would recommend starting with At Midnight I'll Take Your Soul, This Night I'll Possess Your Corpse is probably the better of the two. Awakening of the Beast (coming to my mailbox any day now.. :) ) should only be watched after seeing one of the other two films. It's a crazy short story thang hosted by Ze (the main character of the other two films) with all sort of crazy stuff happening, like people being sat in front of tv's being forced to watch Coffin Joe flicks.... while being injected with LSD! You gotta love it.
