When Kirk and Pam enter the house, and get caught by Leatherface, I notice something in the movie. There appears to be some sort of weird blue tint whenever there is light inside the house in the morning, like the windows. It also makes this weird murkiness, like in the scene were Pam runs out of the room, only to see ''you-know-who''. I have been wondering, why is that in the trailers it shows everything normal, the coloring, and the light? It makes no sense to show blue tinting in the movie, yet, everything clear in old trailers? Does this blue tint appear in the LD too?

outside light is technically blue light. That's how indoor film stocks see it, if you don't have a filter to balance it. Unless they went in and corrected every scene on the print you have a copy of, that's why you would see a blue tint in those scenes.

Does also happen during the night scenes too?

Shouldn't really affect night scenes, but they might have had an HMI light on outside, which is blue. There are a lot of factors, but I would guess it is a color correction problem on that print.

Okay, I understand. Just one more question, does this appear on the LD and why is that the trailers show all those scenes in normal lighting.
