Very sweet news! Amityville 3-D is my second favorite film of the series, and this release sounds great. Definitely going to pick it up. I may wind up getting II as well. Now, if only my favorite, Amityville 1992, would hit DVD.

i hope these get R1 treatment soon. With the remake coming up, I hope someone will want to cash in and release the rest of the series. To my knowledge, only two Amityville movies have been released on DVD here in R1 land (part 1 & 4; and i must say, part 4 has an excellent transfer, one of the best i've come across).

Man I love part 2 and would for sure buy this if I knew it wasn't region coded. My DVD plays PAL,so it's just the region that screw up. Will these for sure be region 2? Sometimes U.K. releases (like the first Amityville 2 DVD) say region 2 but was actually region 0.

P.S. I take it part 2 will be 100% uncut?

The scene where possessed boy shoots his father against the wall was cut in Greek, Finnish and UK-VHS versions. The former DVD version in UK has the same scene cut. It is horribly made jumpcut and the sound effect of the gun is in the wrong place.

That scene is intact in Italian DVD so I guess it's uncut.

MGM owns both Amityville 2 and Amityville 3, and given the fact that they are also releasing the new remake early next year, I wouldn't be too surprised to see a double feature DVD of both films hitting the streets around then.
