I live in fear of August 28th

I have something like 15+ DVDs (including box sets and LEs) ordered for that day totalling 300-400$. Some of them are carry overs from previous weeks (Wicker Man, Scars of Dracula). I'm planning on taking 2 days off work that week to just absorb them all and I'm scared to death that DVD Empire is going to fuck up and 1 DVD is going to not come in and delay the entire order. Getting answers from them is hard but customer supports last word was that they won't reserve Wicker Man for me even though I ordered 2 months early..

Anyone else scared? If they ruin my weekend I'll never order from them again.. :)

Cocktail napkin calculations reveal that 15+ movies at 90 minutes each equals 22.5 hours. Divided over 2 days that's over 11 hours per day. That doesn't even begin to include the extras. You should have taken a week off.

The sad fact is I envy you those two days of cinematic bliss.

I know how you feel, jae. -And I "only" have 6 from that date ordered, but 3 of them are doubles (old Universals). "Marathon Man" is another nice one coming my way that date. And September is another killer month; I have 6 there as well. So far.

I'm sure she'll enjoy wicker man if she can get it to play on her record player! but dont be scared you can spend the 30 hours you would have spent waching those dvds sitting in a clock tower sniffing glue taking shots w/ an ak47 at pedestrians!!!!!!!!:D

I'm not too scared about that, I only have Suspiria LE, Opera LE, Wicker Man LE, and Maniac pre-ordered. What does scare me though, is that I have 10 DVDs at my home, 10 on their way, and 10 more soon to be bought, but I can't get my damned player to work. That's what scares the shit out of me.
