Everybody who has seen a couple of Fulci's films knows he likes to focus on the eyes of his characters (something Sergio Leone did too because eyes tell a better story than words).I know it sometimes annoys people but for me it's no problem.
I recently watched "The Black Cat" for the first time and this one has also his trademark eye close-ups.
In one scene in the second half of the movie, something struck me.I think you'll have to see it for yourself. It's not world news or very shocking and perhaps it's been mentioned before but I though i'd share it with you guys:

It's Mimsy Farmer who looks through a gate.I instantly noticed the iris. It's a very cool shot IMO.
Did Fulci have more of these kind of shots?
If he did I didn't notice them.

I think it's a type of foreshadowing because the eyes that Fulci shows in close-ups usually end up getting mutilated.

Another thing Fulci likes to do is shoot mirrors almost straight on, sometimes I really wonder how he does it.

That's a cool find. I've seen the movie several times, but never noticed that.
