I know I'm in the minority, but I enjoyed it. Not a great sequel (Part III was) but the cinematography by Storaro has some terrific moments. I would like to see Schrader's version.

That's because the kid that runs Bloody Disgusting is a fucking chimp.
Are they still releasing Schrader's version? Oh, and The Shinning's got to be one of my favorite simpsons episodes. Classic!

Wow! I'm sincerely honored. :D
Seriously though, I don't know why I go to that site daily, I really don't. The amount of misinformation, spelling mistakes, grammatical errors and overall ass kissing makes me want to punch out a nun. Either I'm very protective of horror or I am a masochist. Probably a bit of both.

According to today's news from, AFAICR, UCM, the initially planned "Lousy/Great" doublepack (i.e. Harlin's/Schrader's films on two discs in one box), but a separate release - Harlin's first, Schrader's second...
If Schrader's film sells well - hopefully - then perhaps the director's cut of Blatty's "Legion" will finally be restored and released as he wanted it.

Morgan Creek recently said that they couldn't find the missing elements from The Exorcist III. To say I was a bit "peeved" at this nugget o'news
is an understatement.

I'll wait for Schrader's version myself... I hope it eventually comes and Warner doesn't screw us over.

It Was Supposed To Come Out Jan 4th 2005 But Delayed 2 Months I Thought The Reason For The 2 Month Delay Was Because They Were Going To Include Schraders Version Now I Hear It Wont Be Included So Crappy Reason For The Delay

i bet they don't release Schrader's version for quite awhile. to release it soon after, or with the theatrical cut, it'd show everyone what kind of morons work at Morgan Creek (not that it's any secret). Remember, the studio knows what moviegoers want.

The really disappointing thing is that the movie will be included on the disc.
What a stinker it was.
