they have never released it uncut in the states, and despite them saying they would they never did. i dont know...they might rerelease it again with the uncut version when the RE2 comes out on dvd.

Actually, yes, that's already been announced I believe, the DVD is the same as the theatrical version. Apparently he films more gore, and the rips it from the camera before anyone else can see it. Then he coshes the actors so they don't remember filming it, tearing out the script pages and having a bombfire. This must be considered "lost" footage.

20th centry fox is one of the best companies to release special edition of movies with extra footage hence the alien quadrilogy dvd box set and separate releases 2 disc releases as well as independence day and abyss extended editions so alien vs predator extended 2 hour version of the movie has a damn good chance of seeing a dvd release especially if the pg-13 version dvd sells well

Paul Anderson is a hack, plain and simple. He keeps talking about these "director's cuts" but even the guys who work with him have no idea of what he's talking about. It didn't happen just once, but multiple times. If he keeps complaining about "the powers that be" that keep cutting his movies, he should just go indie and prove to everyone that he isn't the worst hack directing movies today.
