This year, like any, has seen the release of plenty of new horror films for the much sought after fall fright season. Which one has been your favorite?

So far it's The Grudge, but I am going to see this afternoon...and The Machinist tonight.

I was surprised The Forgotten doing very good at the box office, almost $70m :eek1:
Haven't seen any of those (yet) so I can't vote.

saw, resident evil 2,grudge i will be getting on dvd
seed of chucky why is this one not on the list
Well, I haven't seen these yet, but I'll tell you what I'm most looking forward to: Shaun Of The Dead; mostly due to the great word of mouth on these threads. And as for straight up horror I'm really looking forward to Saw. I have one of those DVD trailer disks and it has like 3 trailers for Saw, which just looks awesome.

I've seen them all, and the only one I can recommend is SAW. One of the best horror experiences of my life.
In order, best to worst (but I don't like any after SAW)
1. Saw
2. Shaun of the Dead
3. The Grudge
4. Resident Evil: Apocalypse
5. The Forgotten
Haven't seen SAW, so my vote goes to Shaun of the Dead.

I haven't seen Saw, but the chances of me liking it more than I love Shaun of the Dead are very slight indeed so my vote goes to Shaun.

I didn't hate RESIDENT EVIL APOCALYPSE as much as some of you did, but SHAUN was about as good of a horror/comedy as I've seen in a while. I haven't seen any of the others, but I really doubt they'll approach SHAUN. And I ususally can't stand horror comedies! SHAUN works on both levels.

NOT Saw.
Now that I got that out of the way, Shaun of the Dead, by a mile. A really great film which I will revist many times for years to come. As a matter of fact, Shaun of the Dead is the best horror film since...well, a while. It kicked so much ass, I was Shaun for Halloween.

Shaun of the Dead. Not only is it a great movie but also it's an equally great date movie. :sperm:

Shaun - it's by far the best of those listed. Not even a close call there.

Shaun of the Dead by a mile. The Grudge was god awful and SAW was made out to be a SLASHER flic but it turned out to be a "7even" with bad acting.

I very much enjoyed Saw and Shaun, but I have to go with Shaun. Overall, it was just a better movie. I don't know weather to see The Grudge or not. I'm really not too into this "Americanizing" trend going on right now. I didn't like The Ring (American), and I don't like SMG... This movie really doesn't have much going for it.

Shaun. Itīs primarily a comedy, but it delivers when it comes to terrorize as well.
Unfortunately, I clicked the wrong box and voted for RE:A by mistake. Dang.
