I've seen the DVD for rent and for sale in several stores within the past few weeks.

I have one of the rare copies that came out in summer of 2003.

I purchased the Limited Edition, and sold it on eBay about 11 months ago, for over $100.00

So what does the old Fangoria Store release have that this latest release doesn't? Is the new one barebones?

As far as I know, the Grindhouse release and the Fangoria release have the same features.I have the original Gridhouse version.I wanted the autographed one but it was selling for way too high.

The disc contents are both identical. The Fangoria re-issue is even printed with ©2002 on the label...or something similar.

The original Grindhouse version had only 800 made:
500 autographed
300 un-signed (its funny cause the unsigned original is rarer then the signed)(I have one of these)

The only difference I know between the original limited release, and the new Fango release, are that they are different in case designs. The extras are the same. The red blood on the original is darker in colour than that of the Fango release which is a brighter red on the cover. And the back of the Fango case is different in that it doesn't have the box in the bottom right corner for the numbering or stamping of 'UNCUT' on the unsigned copies. Also the Fango logo is now present.

This I do not know though, what is included with the Fango version on the inside. Do you have any inserts? Such as the fold out poster, chapter index, and the Necrophagia ad?

I ordered one from Fangoria DVD back when it first came out. Took ages to get. They charged my credit card before it even shipped (well before it shipped actually). There are some old threads on this topic.

Inside the case is the fold out poster on one side, chapter index and liner notes on the other.

OK. The rare Grindhouse DVD has a Necrophagia ad to as an insert. So there's another confirmed differnect between the OOP Grindhouse release and the Fango re-issue.
