There have been many Christmas themed horror films, from slashers to animated fantasies, but which one brings you the most holiday cheer?

hell ya!

Without a doubt Black Christmas...not only is it miles ahead of all the rest...it is one of the most unsettling films ever made...those voices on the phone are something no one can ever forget!

Black Christmas. John Saxon rocks in that! Fellatio.. haha.
Gremlins is a close second. :)

Oh, I forgot about them pretty easily ;)

I would've vote Gremlins had it been on there, so I voted for The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Black Christmas and it's not even close.

The section from the original Tales From The Crypt movie.
I neglected to include any anthologies since none are entirely Christmas themed. I have added GREMLINS though, although even that is borderline "horror".

It's all about John Saxon and Black Christmas.

I guess I'll go with Gremlins since it's the only one I've seen some of.

Was IT, the adults part, set during Christmas time? Not that I think it should be up there, but there's some movie that is set during Christmas time and it's getting me.

It'll be interesting to see if anyone selects Silent Night Bloody Night. The one scene in that flick that's tinted yellow-ish is pretty creepy.

Well, the poll asked for my "favorite", so I will have to go with Jack Frost, which was also the inspiration for my first avatar here. :)

Black Christmas by a long shot. What a classic. Until I saw this for the first time I had no idea how it had influenced other genre classics like Halloween. I never knew anything about Black Christmas until a couple years ago when I saw people on this board talk about it, so I picked up the DVD. Man, am I glad I ever did.

Went with Black Christmas, but Silent Night Deadly Night is right behind it for being a sleazy classic. :D

That is why I went with SNDN this year, it's all about the sleaze.

I'll have to say Gremlins. Excellent Christmas mayhem. I might need to slap that on Christmas morning. :D

Black Christmas is the best movie of the lot, but do I watch it during the holidays? Hell no. I am far too busy watching Silent Night, Deadly Night, so it gets my vote. Nothing says Christmas like Billy. Punish!

Definitely Black Christmas, although some others up there are quite good as well.

For me; "Gremlins" is my favorite one out of the list.

Not only does Black Christmas top the list. I wouldn't argue with anyone rating it in the top 10 horror films of all time period.

Gremlins! Phoebe Cates, man. Cool death scene at the end; pretty funny stuff, too.

Black Christmas - I watch this gem every year at this time and it NEVER loses it's power. Granted, it may not be as effective if you watched it in July, but right now it truly delivers the shivers. ;)

I'm not surprised that nobody has mentioned "To All a Good Night", a real piece of doo doo from the early 80's that had a couple of comical death scenes and a cool video box cover, but was otherwise pretty uninspired. Oh, and it had Jennifer Runyon, the Susan Olsen doppelganger who took her place in A Very Brady Christmas...

Some good choices, but A Nightmare Before Christmas is such a great movie, so I voted for it.
