...Gave me nightmares! :nervous:
I watched the first half of this trippy giallo last night (I fell asleep about 45 minutes into it, I was beat) and it is certainly an interesting and unique peice of cinema. Fenech is really beautiful, but that's about the only pretty thing in the whole film. I bought the DVD because I love Sergio Martino's other giallo, Torso, and I ended up liking this one even better (so far). The opening sequence is really twisted, I love it. I'm surprised at how stylish this film is, too. Why isn't Martino considered one of the greats, alongside Mario Bava, Dario Argento, Lucio Fulci? Now please excuse me while I go off and finish this...
I'll get back to you with my full thoughts on the film in the next day or so. What do you all think of this surreal giallo?
BTW -- My nightmare was that I was in this giant prison and I was running away from this guard. They were going to try to lock me up and my only way of escaping was to go through a giant meat grinder. Doesn't really have much to do with the film at all, but the film most probably left me with those unsettling thoughts in my mind before I went to bed.
