I'll stick with my Region 2 SEs (even if the 3-D effect totally doesn't work on THE DEMON) until there's some big, crazy all-inclusive box set that would include every sequel out there. But wasn't there a SE for the original planned for release? What happened with that?

sequels are owned by different companies, so i doubt we'll ever see a boxset that includes them all.

Whew! I'm glad I waited buying those imports of Amityville 2 & 3-D. Apparently the 3-D is screwy looking on the R2 DVD anyways, and it's no big deal to me.

No extras on the films themselves? I hope you can count on an anamorphic version of part 1 since the first disc was not. I'd hate to see a lazy repackage (ala the SCREAM box).

Wow, unexpected but great news. AMITYVILLE 2 was one of those titles I had "given up" on and stopped expecting to hit DVD alltogether. Great to be proven wrong.

Why the hell is Amityville 2 my favorite of the three, only in freakin mono. :( I would love to hear that creepy soundtrack in glorious surround sound. Why give the mediocre part 3 a new mix and not the vastly creepier part 2? :fuck: I mean they could at least give us 2.0 stereo surround, instead of mono. I mean mono is basically the bottom of the audio barrel. :cry: I'll still pick it up because I have yet to pick up the original, and am just glad that part 2 and 3 are FINALLY getting an R1 release. It amazes me that crap like the Adam Sandler shitfest Going Overboard gets a release years ago, and fans of amityville have to wait. If you don't know what Going Overboard is, consider yourself lucky. :sleepy:

I will definitely buy the Box Set when it comes out April 5th. I already have the original, I had Part 2 on VHS, then it crapped out, and bought a VCD copy on eBay, don't have the 3rd one, but if it is not in 3D, I will be getting a 3D version on eBay.

Amityville: Dollhouse was released on dvd, and was done by the same company who did 1992 and A New Generation, so why not a double feature dvd of 1992 and NG? And yeah, I also heard a good SE of the original Amityville Horror was gonna happen. They could've at least included commentaries on these, but ah well.......
