I saw a graphic ad in Rue Morgue magazine that featured a fetus on a bayonet. Nasty! Based on the Japanese invasion of China during World War II. I haven't seen the movie but reviews over at Amazon have been favourable.
Black Sun: The Nanking Massacre is an uncompromising portrayal of the war crimes perpetrated by the Japanese Imperial Army upon the Chinese military and civilian population of Nanking during the occupation of the city. Hailed by critics as one of the most disturbing films ever released, Black Sun: The Nanking Massacre is unflinching in it's depiction of the barbaric cruelty with which the occupying army raped, pillaged and terrorized the defeated populace.

i just bought this from my best buy. i liked the movie alot. not just because of the graphic violence but it was actually a good film and pretty infomative. theres documentry footage cut into scenes. this is a sequel to men behind the sun, directed by the same guy too. i liked this and the first MBTS for the fact that they had documentry feels to them and are based on true events. as for the dvd, the transfer is great. i havent watched the documentry on the disk yet but will soon and let you guys know. i recommend this flick if your a history buff , liked the first one, or just wanna see graphic violence.

i actually just watched this yesterday and thought it was great. very disturbing especially considering they are true events. the bayonet/baby scene was sick, and theres another scene with a baby, and the scene along the beach with all the bodies is one of the most haunting images in film history, IMO. excellent film which i will probably never watch again.

It's a good film for what it is. It won't hold up over time as well as Men Behind the Sun, though. I haven't seen this movie in over five years, other than the baby (yes, what other marketing tool does this movie have?), I have no need to watch it...

Except, the old VHS bootleg I have has tagged at the end some weird ass german animated piece. Very low budget, the cast is all Han Solo action figures (manipulated here and there), but kindof intriguing for what it is... Like an Evil Dead knock-off or something.

Yes, a bootleg. Black Sun is mentioned, I think of an action figure holding an axe.
